A solid week of marathon training in the bag. Friday night was 7×1 mile off 60 seconds recovery in tough conditions- averaged 5:11 per rep / 3:13 per KM pace. Saturday morning I was at the physio and whilst on the way I am chatting paces, consistency, and how the training is starting to come together. Then Sunday I topped it off with a 17 mile long run at 6:22 per mile pace. 78 miles / 125km for the week.
The work is building. London Marathon prep continues.

Just joined a gym today too! My lingering hip problem caused me enough of a scare to really want to invest more in injury prevention. Was meant to be racing Seville this weekend but I think I'll treat it more like a solid long run effort. Hopefully I can keep some consistency now. My goal for this year is sub 3, and if that doesn't happen on Sunday that's ok with me! I think I would feel better with some more long term investment in my fitness rather than overpushing.
Btw got my first Puma shoes (deviate Nitro 3), so they should be sponsoring you 😉 They feel great and wanted some carbon shoes for faster sessions which weren't going to break the bank. I forgot if you have these, or just the elite version?
Solid sessions this week, thanks for the video!
