It’s 4 days to go till the 2025 Chester Marathon (which I entered last week!) I haven’t trained for the marathon distance, I haven’t long been back running but I feel I am as well prepared as I can be going into the race. My aim is the break 3 hours and try and negative split the race so my 2nd half is faster.
I’ve no idea how my body will cope but this is the stepping stone into 2026 Chicago Marathon, meaning I can train properly for that.
In this video I chat about the race, how I prepare for races, what type of pre-race sessions I do, and what I’ll be doing leading into the marathon.
