Holloway was far and away the best player. I would put him on the line with McDAVID AND HYMAN. Move ADAM HENRIQUE TO THE 3RD LINE. The defense was no where to be found. Nurse was awful and lazy. The defense was lazy. The team lacked hunger for the kill. Zach HYMAN was a beast out there especially with the hit. ShaqHyman! McDAVID did all he could do especially with the pano o Rama move and backhand pass to DRAISTAIL . RNH WAS A DISAPPEARING ACT as usual. When will RYAN SHOW UP. So was KANE who spent most of the game on the ice floor being clobbered instead of dishing hits. Perry took some ridiculous penalties. Stu glove was a bit low on the KOPITAR GOAL. The oilers were sloppy from the beginning. Always having to come from behind. Now after this shocker in OT they need to win game 3 tomorrow. These series are getting crazy. The only teams that have it easy are the NY RANGERS AND CAROLINA HURRICANES.
Those "flukey goals" are because LA puts themselves in positions to get those type of goals. Edmonton since forever has always tried to get the perfect shot instead of quick relaeses. All the skill in the world but they don't know how to play playoff hockey which is those greasy goals the majority of the time.
I’d prefer him on the PP over Bouchard I see y they call it a bouch bomb cuz it always misses the net and makes a bomb sound off the boards atleast ekholm has some accuracy with his shot
With this kind of goaltending mcdavid and draisatl can be here for a million years and we won't win a cup. We were not very aggressive with fixing our goaltending. We might win a round but it all depends on the kind of goaltending we get on a nightly basis
I said it many times before Skinner is a grade B goalie, good to be a backup on a contending team. His reflex is average. He can make routine saves, but cannot bailout the D for grade A mistakes against. He also cannot make saves on face-to-face mid distance shots. Also Nurse is mediocre. His salary 9.25M is good for a pair of 3,4 D. A waste of money and cap space. Sorry, this is not the year for the Oilers. Holland needs to be gone. Hopefully Jeff Jackson can make big changes in the summer. Wait one more year.
Back to work, no time to look back now. Everyone needs to start showing Skinner more support on the Ice with hugs and stick taps ect ect…hes a fragile emotional guy a deep guy.
When LA gets 2 monster saves on would be goals, and Edm only gets saves on easy shots, we can't expect to win. Talbot robbed a couple guys, skinner committed zero robberies.
