After an important win over the Predators on Saturday, the Jets fell to the Blues Sunday and have now won only five times in the last 17 games. What’s happened to Winnipeg’s offence? The TH panel shares their thoughts.
How did Rick Bowness get out this segment without a mention? He coaches a low event, anti-hockey style that stifles his own teams offense in exchange for (hopefully) better defense. When all of those players are cold at the same time, look for the common denominator and that's Bowness and his style.
Maybe it turns around in the playoffs where it's in the CBA that at least one team a year makes a deep run playing disgusting anti-hockey and Hellebuyck puts the team on his back.
The offence is just trying to be like everything else in Winnipeg. Who’d have thought what was very apparent 12 months ago would still be true. This team just doesn’t have it.
