There is one thing to play for, if the Sabres win in regulation against the Stars, they would have Home Ice Advantage if the teams met in the finals, otherwise the Stars would have the Home Ice Advantage in that scenario.

As I said weeks ago we would play Ottawa Tampa Carolina then Dallas in the finals very similar to the road in ‘99 and ‘06 to avenge the losses and beat the big bad new rival Tampa and if we beat Dallas in regulation and happen to get them in the finals we would have home ice because of the tiebreaker
