Honest Flyers make me nervous!
The Flyers roster is not a scary roster, they don't have a legitimate first line, or a great second line. Their D is not deep. But they have nothing to lose, and they have a great coach. Won't be surprised if it's a series, but I expect the Pens to win this.

In play-offs dedicated team can defeat a more skilled opponent – so anything can happen. But lets hope that Crosby will continue his tradition of beating Flyers

Flyers aren't anything fancy, but they still have Vladar whos an Olympic quality goalie, Konecny whos been a Pens killer, Mitchkov, Zegras, AND the recently called up and surging Porter Martone IF they decide to burn a year on his ELC to try to win 1 round.
I live close to Philly, and they have been a totally different team these past two weeks since Martone was called up.
Its gonna be a good series, Im guessing 6 games with Pens possibly losing depending on the goaltending we get…

I remember stomping the Islanders in the regular season years ago and then them embarrassing us in the playoffs. Anything can happen. So hopefully the Pens play their game and play like they want it.

The Flyers have played meaningful games for almost a week longer than the Pens. Flyers have had urgency and the Pens have not. Going into the playoffs this doesn’t bode well for the Pens.

My hatred of the Flyers was born in the 1970's and continues to thrive all these years later. My favorite three seasons for the Pens are the first Cup, Sid's first Cup, and the year the Pens swept the season series against the Flyers, in that order. In my younger days I was waiting for a bus downtown when a bus full of Flyers fans on their way to a Saturday afternoon game at the Civic Arena stopped at a redlight right in front of me. I mooned those Flyers fans in front of many innocent bystanders in broad daylight. I'm not proud of my behavior that day, but what else could I do? They were Flyers fans. I believe that Flyers players have a stench that can only be washed away by getting traded to the Pens, and even then, only if they win a Cup here. So here's rooting for an embarrassing sweep that includes at least one chili game so that I can revel in their pain and misery.
The Flyers have a garbage PP, a garbage PK and 44 of their points have come in overtime or shootout. 10 wins in shootouts which don’t exist in the playoffs. If you look at the 5 on 5 metrics the Penguins are just a better team. Anything can happen in the playoffs but as long as Muse keeps the guys on track I’m not worried about the Flyers.

The biggest thing the Pens have to fear from the Flyers, in the playoffs, is injury.
Flyers fan here. On paper, the pens are better. Flyers special teams suck, including a league worst power play. You can't get far in the playoffs without effective special teams. That said, I'm just very proud of how they've fought their way in. They need luck, but this team has played their hearts out, and anything can happen. Good luck, and GO FLYERS!!

Kinda feel bad for Pittsburgh fans in general, between the Triple AAA Pirates and the definition of mediocre Steelers, at least the Pens provide some juice

Geno and Kris can't get dragged into taking penalties. If we avoid that issue, Pens should win the series.
Never underestimate any playoff team. But I believe Pens sweep the Flyers. Too much firepower.
I’ve watched enough hockey over the last 40 years to understand that the team playing better going into the playoffs has an advantage over a team that’s rested.
Arch rivals and a return to the playoffs after a 3 year absence–Pens are highly motivated and will win Round 1, #LetsGoPens!
