Boomer, Pinder and Rhett dive into the Detroit Red Wings and their now decade-long playoff drought, questioning how a franchise with that history has fallen this far. The conversation ramps up after a superchat asks who the poster child is for a poorly run organization, and the guys don’t hold back in pointing at Detroit—especially with Buffalo finally snapping their drought. It’s a blunt discussion about where things have gone wrong and why the Red Wings are now carrying that label.

Negative it’s the flames guys …. Wake up , wings at least have a cup in the last 37 years 😂😂
To be fair, if I were a free agent Detroit would be right there with the Canadian teams, Buffalo, Chicago and Cali on my "not interested" list. They deal with the same problems we do up here recruiting players.
Remember when the Oilers were obsessed with letting the boys on the bus mismanage the franchise year after year straight into the decade of darkness? Don't let your past manage your future into the toilet
Vladar gonna lock down a playoff spot in philadelphia tonight.
Shouldn't the sabres be in there with the wings?
"joke franchise" is super hyperbolic. They tried to rush a rebuild before completely bottoming out, but their previous decades of success kinda makes up for that. Trading away their first rounder this year was kinda stupid though.
They’re not the joke, just the punchline.
Detroit desperately needed a D who could exit the D zone. Stevie’s mistake was thinking that anyone else needed one that badly that they would pay a 1st for Faulk
Remember when part of the Yzerplan was running Wolman out of town for nothing? Like him or hate him, that's a legit asset he just threw away
Ahem… 1967…
Giving up a first round pick for Faulk then still miss the playoffs is hilariously bad asset management.
Yzerman took over 7 years ago with nothing but Larkin, no prospects. Never got a celebrini,Schaefer at the draft. I’m not worried about redwings or Yzerman . He just needs to fix that bottom 6 . Everyone’s gtg there
Nah, the oilers will never give up that title
People need to compare their bottom 6 forwards to say Ottawas. No comparison.
Also, they took 2 discarded defenceman from Ottawa as 6/7 D.
Getting Top players is a lot easier than finding those diamonds in the rough.
