  1. Really dark time to be Canucks fan right now. Going to be complete bedlam when we inevitably end up with the 3rd overall pick.

  2. Players not wanting to play in one of the world's most beautiful, modern cities says a lot about the clown show of the ownership/management.

  3. Thank you guys, bringing sanity to Canucks land. Are you aware there is some talk about booing Quinn Hughes when he next plays in Vancouver due to the hatred of Donald Trump? I think that would be utterly classless but I think it might make a good topic of discussion.

  4. Im on Tyler Myers on this one. What an embarrassment of a franchise the front office is doing.

  5. If players don't want to be in Vancouver, then clean house and fire Rutherford, Allvin, Granato, et al.

  6. Absolute dumpster fire and I've been a Canucks fan for 45 yrs I've seen some dumpster fires but wow they've outdone themselves. Vancouver won't get 1st pick the hockey gods have never liked the Canucks.

  7. I wonder if a mass petition or public protest of fans demanding the Canucks change management from top down?

  8. Serious question: why buy out Pettersson right now?

If you can trade him, great, go for it, especially if someone makes a Benning & OEL kind of offer. But the Canucks aren't going to be competitive in the short term anyway.

Sure, extra room to take on some dead cap would be nice, but a buyout is dead cap space as well. Why not wait? If a miracle happens once things look up with the team, that's more than worth it. And if not, buy him out then!

The only thing that speaks against it is his attitude rubbing off on his teammates. Well, NOW would be the time to sell cap relief to some teams for some of those vaunted character guys we had in spades not too long ago.

  9. Worst part of being last was the management was actually trying to win this year to keep Hughes . Because of that they handed out these long term deals and no trade clauses to players that never proved anything .

  10. Debrusk to Winnipeg for
A package of prospects or late round picks since we need our 1st.

    Guys like Lambert,Barlow,Chibrikov,He,Heinola,Ford,Zhilkin,Gustafson,3rd/4th/5th rounders

Debrusk fits he's signed he played Swift Current where Lowry was his Captain.

  11. It's not a dark time this is the best thing that ever happened to the team We always get middle picks and finish in the middle We are getting a fresh start and we have good young players and things look great The season who cares it's been over for a while it's a set up for the draft

  12. Debrusk is a huge part of the problem, I hope they can get rid of him. I heard he has a cousin who had a friend who knew a guy that made a couple of plays once. Terrible acquisition.

  13. I’m not a fan of buying out ep40 simply because we just started a rebuild and won’t be making the playoffs for the next 5 years at least. Therefore I’m not worried about his 11.6 million dollars over 6 years contract anchoring down the team. I am however worried about the second half of 12 years of dead cap space anchoring down the team.

  14. This city doesn't deserve the Canucks. Although I love the team, may as well move to where they're loved and appreciated, especially with ownership. Jump ship from all this toxicity

  15. The only way to hold the very top accountable is and i dont mean this lightly but stop buying their tickets. Until the very top feel the pain, they will continuing to mistreat people and counting pennies rather than build a team with the right culture. if im a new young player, who the ef want to play for these kind of owners

  16. It will get worse. The Canucks are literally at rock bottom….. not just bottom of the standings, but they have very little in terms of picks/prospects, and don't have a lot of value to sell off to increase their stock. It's going to be 8-10 years before this team sniffs playoffs. They have literally nothing

  17. Dont blame the Canucks players played bad games, its the management made it this way. Almost from the beginning of the season already announcing trading this player and that player. How the hell the team has concentration playing good hockey. This is like a spiral effect that caused the entire season into waste. If the Canucks are going to blow up the whole team this year, are they going to play in the AHL next year!!! Then the same problem will happen again next year and its not going to end. The team will be going to rebuild/retool every year… As a Canucks fan, its sad to see this

  18. Don’t throw Manny over the cliff. The teams have been playing with rookies all year. I cannot see how getting more rookie draft picks will make any difference. There is a cancer in the franchise. Ownership has not seen any much success, only controversies. We’ve gone thru coaches, from losing goalie coaches and pk, pp coaches. We’ve gone thru league respected players only to have them traded, including 2 scoring captains, all of whom are thriving with other teams. Management, ownership, media, seem to be the cancers that spread through the coaching & player rosters. Something sure stinks and i cannot see anything changing with new recruits & rookies who need maturing with play and physically. The organization stinks from bottom up & top down. Never have i seen such an embarrassing debacle.
You have made mngt, admin, media , coaching, & player changes. None have helped. Perhaps SELL THE TEAM to an owner who wants more than a losing tax dodge and who may get along better to stand up to Bettman and his buds.

  19. I call BS. I think Canucks mgmt tries too hard to accomodate players' wishes. Think of Hughes trade…so many examples where they made accomodations to "do the right thing" for players.

  20. We have a bigger problem of players not wanting to play in high tax environment in Canada. Media scrutiny like this doesn't help either with speculation on speculation. Canadian teams are at such a disadvantage

  21. I moved to Vancouver shortly after the Aquilini's took over, it's been maybe 5 great seasons out of the last 20, they won two President's Trophies for highest score in the regular season(who cares?), and one Clarence Campbell bowl for winning the Western Championship, so out of 5 great seasons they only got trophies for two of those years. That's 18 fucking years of failure. They wasted Trevor Linden, they wasted Naslund, they wasted Brendan Morrison, they wasted the Sedins, they wasted Horvat, they FAILED Quinn Hughes, they gave a 12! Year deal to a fucking Goalie and made him the Captain! They threw away Jared McCann, they gave up on Podkolzin, they gave up on Cody Hodgson, they let Toffoli Walk, so many mistakes, instead they signed guys like Loui Ericksson, Pavol Demitra, Michael Ferland, Chris Higgins, Radim Vrbata, Thomas Vanek, Bonino, Dickinson, Byron Ritchie, even Jake DeBrusk, all overpaid veterans who came here and had one good season, then its just crap after crap! The Aquilini family should be forced to sell the team to New ownership, they've Blown It for two decades, that's long enough…

  22. listening to dhali yell things at the audience, about a team that means absolutely nothing to the nhl or the fans anymore. Holy does it get tiring. It's like watching an old man yell at a squirrel for passing by on his fence. Pathetic. I'll see you in 5-10 years when this team is another illusion of potential.☮

  23. The canucks should trade everybody, tank this season and get the number draft pick for the first time in team history.

  24. June 30th, 2025, 11:59pm, I said to my buddy they have one minute left to dump 11.6 or we're going another 10 years with this shitshow.
    I hate being right.

  25. Really hope the Canucks don’t get the top pick. They don’t deserve a player like McKenna

  26. we need mckenna AND dupont… this entire organization needs a total strip down from owner, managenent, players, medical team, Fin…

  27. DeBrusk is only going north south hoping for free puck around blue area. He needs to hit and move way more. Moping where the team is, is the sole reason of DeBrusk, Boeser and Kane and Petty not scoring enough this year. Ohgren puts both DeBrusk and Boeser to shame. He is way more of a leader than those two.
