  1. I like it. We needed help on defense, 28 isn’t too old, and he’s a right-handed shot! This trade will also appease Quebec fans, who always want more French Canadian players. Plus, Barron didn’t seem to have a future with the team.

  2. lollllllllllll, comical, they are in last place for a reason…….small, no upgrade at all……but hey, we, weeeeeeeeeeee…..lolllllllll

  3. Not sure about this trade, Barron wasn’t working out but time will tell if this move was a good one . I think I’d like it more if Carrier was 6’2

  4. What the fuck? Another small defenseman? GL every getting through playoffs….I hope he proves me wrong but I doubt it.

  5. He is gonna be able to score in french, hit in french and defend in french. Thats why lol

  6. So adding a smallish 28 year old defenseman so they can trade Savard? it's an upgrade from Barron, who isn't. Is he an upgrade from Kovacevic who they gave away for basically nothing? I don't think so.

  7. Barron didn't show the NHL-level grit that all players now require to remain in the league. Overall the trade that let Lehkonen go in the first place is turning out to be pretty bad. Lehkonen was an expert shutdown guy with high level grit and IMO his leadership and overall contribution was highly underestimated in MTL. Hopefully the round pick we also got ( turned out to be Michael Hage when Hughes traded his 2nd round pick to select him in the 1st round ) can take the bitterness off of this trade in the upcoming years. But so far the trade did not pay off. Right now on NHL level and on paper we traded one of the best defensive forwards in Lehkonen for Carrier, a d-man who may not even be a top 4 in one of the worst defense teams in the league.

  8. Needed someone more defensive and with more experience for the young guys. Will he be game changing no but it’s good
