How did Canucks pull off impressive third period comeback? | Jay on SC

The Canucks trailed 4-2 entering the third period and in a five-minute span scored three times to take the lead! TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss how the Canucks were able to pull off the impressive third period comeback and if Vancouver should shift more of their focus to Zach Hyman after another multi-goal game.

  1. TSN panelists have to bite their tongue and do backflips in order to say anything positive about the Canucks. They would much rather be talking about their beloved Leafs.

  2. It is purely because Nurse and Ceci are utterly incompetent. The Oilers were excellent in most other ways, but once Vancouver just threw all of their big guns up against Nurse and Ceci and the Oilers collapsed because those two can't play defence. It's been a real problem all year. Bouchard and Ekholm were excellent (as usual) and Desharnais and Kulak were servicable. But the final 4 goals were scored when Nurse/Ceci pair were out on the ice. It's not Skinner, the Oilers forwards, or anything else: it's Nurse and Ceci plain and simple.

  3. Zadorov is a friggin' beast, thought Leafs was gonna get him or Tanev or Hanafin, but instead still have the same core…

  4. Never watch any NHL GAMES but if your province just caught the playoffs fever, you just can’t help but join in thought you don’t understand the game’s fundamentals. I like the mantra “cardiac Canucks” and if they can continue with those spectacular come from behind winning games…..maybe another one is “the west coast erasers”.

  5. In 35 years of watching hockey, I've never seen a team finish the season with more regular season points than their opponent, yet be considered a resounding "underdog" in a series.

  6. Isn't this the guy that was clowning on the Canucks before the series even started? TSN should not be posting anything after all the flack they've been giving the Canucks.
