No timeout in the third, 1 shot in 22 minutes, you should be attacking more to get penalties to get power play chances. 5 goals against 5v5 means you're sitting back way too much. 14 shots in 59 minutes wont win you hockey games. Need to be way more aggressive. They played good defensively and forgot about the rest of the game and obviously you have a 3 goal lead and you want to control the game but you could just bury the opposition too with puck possession and offensive zone time which is the Oilers main strength. And the thing they did none of in the third.
Stu made 2 nice saves and had 3 bad goals.
But we move on to Game 2 and hopefully a much better effort from a lot of players here in the future.
Things not going our way?..No your offense providing 8 shots total through 2 periods and Skinner shitting the bed was the main issue…He should have pulled Skinner earlier and he also should have slowed down the Nucks momentum by utilizing the time-outs..Bad coaching helped fuel this loss as much as the Oils lackluster play.

Can we use our TIMEOUT, something that screwed us last season, let’s hold on to it after getting pounded for x minutes straight and give up the lead.
