I feel our line has been good in the O-zone. That’s the game we try to play every night. I like to play the man-on-man, especially down low behind the net, try to lose your guy, and create a chance because of that. I think that’s gonna be good for us.”

This d under housley has been so much better. Don’t get me wrong they’ve had regresses in season where they forgot to play defense but so much better. GG would never have broken up the Kee/Troubs pairing when around came back.

Honestly, heading into these playoffs, my belief is that in order for the Rangers to go all the way, Laffy and Kakko needed to combine to score at least 12 goals.
5 on 5 is going to become even more important moving forward and Laffy was 2nd on the team in goals at 5 on 5 and Kakko has the most offensive upside on Line 3. When you hear the term depth. THEY are the depth.
So far they have 1 goal. To get past Carolina, you need to likely see 3-5 from them.
Also. Actually finishing a series fast. How huge is that looking with Fox. Imagine having one off day with that nagging knee versus the near 7-9 days off they’ll have.
