  1. Gary Suter did dumb things in the heat of the moment, Stevens made a career out of shortening others. While we didn't know to what extent brain trauma damaged a person, it wasn't exactly rocket science to realize it could be severe. That always feels like a cop out to me, especially when you have guys like Trouba doing similar things today. Players will do what they can to help their team win regardless of the human cost on the other bench. That won't change until the rules do. Unfortunately the NHL is more scared of lawsuits than the of the saftey of its star players.

  2. Great analysis of the hits that hurt a career. PK still manages a point/game despite so many awful hits. I don't blame him for being bitter, who wouldn't be after all of that? I'm so happy he is back, even in small ways, with the Ducks and hockey as a whole.

  3. These are some of the most entertaining hockey docs o YouTube. Your intros always get me sucked in. This was another stellar one dude! Would love you to cover the history of the Arizona Coyotes

  4. A Ben Oakley and pinholes Graham video in the same week? Is this Christmas? Fantastic video as always Ben.

  5. This was a great video, man. The throughline of how little people truly knew about concussions and brain injuries was devastating, and the insight into each hit was awesome. Especially how wildly different the context for each was despite how similar their results were.

There was one thing that did stand out to me, though. Scott Stevens, not a bad person? That might be something up in the air a bit.

  6. Gonna add Stevens was also a rapist who got off easy despite Nick Kypreos testifying and law endorcement officers being convinced that an assault occured. It happened when he was wjth the Capitals, look it up. He was absolutely not a good dude.
