The thing with Petey is as upset as we all are, I always feel like he’s the one most upset with himself. He’s ultra competitive and I think it gets to him when he slumps

  2. cosalich

Petey stop being accountable and beating yourself up and getting down on yourself. You know what to fucking do. Stop overthinking. Grip it and rip it.

  3. He needs to have a huge fucking game on Friday. Always thought he would be a gamer in the playoffs but so far I’m not seeing it. Though it does somewhat seem like he’s trying but, just thinking way too much

  4. Dude needs to remember at the end of the day it’s just a fucking game. Go out, have some fun, do what you do

  5. RoboCartmen

At least he’s self aware, guy has been so quiet. JT Miller and Brock Boeser also need to step up. Hoglander doesn’t exist it seems as well. Hughes was alright, bro keep falling tho which led to the first goal

  6. Lawlcakes26

When Beauvillier has more shots that’s when you know something is up

  7. TheFriendlyBagel

Petey you’re like the sickest Canuck since Bure. Fucking own that shit. Stunt on these hoes and stop questioning it.

There isn’t much Petey can do. He’s too soft. Needs to put on some lean mass and get a skating coach and he can be elite. Until he takes the next step in changing his body and working on staying on his feet, this is the guy we have. Picks on the Anaheims and Chicagos of the world but isn’t a big game player when games get heavy.

Good because you played like a fucking plug tonight Petey.

  10. Watching this interview, he looks like he’s about to cry. He knows he’s not himself. City has to lift this guy up

  11. Maybe we chant petey. Give him a boost. Stop being doom and gloom. Fucking step up as fans

  12. pluralsight24

Petey has 10 goals and 18 points in 15 career games against the Preds. Dude usually scores against them and quite easily. He just needs to shoot more and I think he’ll find his groove this series

  13. The fan hate on Pettersson is crazy to me.

    – Fans and media are upset with Pettersson for not extending long term.
    – Pettersson comes to the table. Signs a long-term extension for less money than he’d get on the open market.
    – Fans proceed to hate on every mistake Pettersson has made since signing the extension because of what he’s been paid.

This is what we wanted? Him to be a Canuck for a long-time.

Why is such a large portion of the fanbase scapegoating Pettersson? We’ve gotta rally behind him and show him the love he deserves. He’s a 191 point player the last two years. He will find his game.

  14. Canucks dominated tonight so I wouldn’t change anything up yet. You play like that for 3 more games and the series could very well be won in 5.

If the Canucks are still struggling to score, I’d like to see Garland-Pettersson-Joshua.

As much as Pettersson has struggled, his linemates have been worse. He’s not getting much help out there. They all need to step up.

This man quite possibly is pulling the biggest heist in Canucks history. Man got paid and said thank you I’m done

I was in the building so not sure what the broadcast/analysts/pundits think.

That was the worst game I have ever seen him play.

I really really hope he responds.

  17. Poutine14

While I agree he needs to be a lot better. The treatment fans are giving him is absolutely insane, it reminds me of Luongo post 2011. We finally have an all-star player who wants to be here long term, takes less than what he could have gotten in free agency and all we do is post every mistake he makes like he’s the only one having a bad game. The dudes snake bitten, I trust he’ll figure it out

  18. carry-on_replacement

Petey should just shoot. If it gets blocked, let it. If it misses, at least get a juicy rebound. Stop passing, play selfishly

  19. Shoot 100 pucks a day. Go to the defensive dot, and shoot until you dont miss. When youre confident, an empty cage from down the rink is yawning. Keep it simple.

  20. lightningmcmemex

He can yap all he wants, but I want the response in the game, not an interview.

  21. Kefka_esque

Petey, you’re amazing and still one of my favorite Canucks of all time. You will pull through this!!!!! GO CANUCKS GO💙💚💙💚

  22. Nuck_1198

Kid need’s to take a walk around the Seawall. I remember a certain goalie that used to play here that was under A LOT of pressure, and all he did was take a walk around the seawall each game day.

Otherwise pretty easy fix, just shoot lol. All he needs to do is just rip it, he’s got the shot. He just needs his head in the right space.

  23. dakos666

Be interesting to see how Petey does in net next game! Not like he’s doing anything else

  24. 21marvel1

Petey certainly in his own head. Seems like the constant drive to make the *right* decision during each play leads to exactly what he doesn’t want.

  25. CaptainIndoCanadian

We need some “let’s go Petey” chants. For as good as he is, he gets no love from the crowd. He gets more hate than anything. Not saying it’ll help, but what’s he done that makes people so eager to shit on him? He committed here for 8 years. He’s young af. Let’s encourage our dawg.

  26. PetterssonsNeck

I blame Pettersson for JT Miller getting speared to the balls with no call

  27. SrPhillipOliverHoles

I LOVE YOU PETEY!!! You will fucking get through this!!!! Fuck that game! On to the next!

  28. Downtown-Age7621

He’ll snap out of it next game or a game after it’s an inevitability. We’re gonna be hashtagging #PlayoffPetey soon 🟢🔵
