My disappointment is immeasurable… and my day is ruined.

  2. neil6547881

I reserved my frustration with sodie all season, but what the fuck lmao.

  3. Grrrrrrrt420

Bedard made kurashev excel this year while Kurashev held bedard back Abysmal performance by kurashev today and quite frankly the last few games

  4. Great rookie seasons for Bedard and Korchinski! Vlasic was also a wonderful surprise. I’ll miss the GDTs and hope you all have a relaxing and safe offseason. See you at the draft lottery!

  5. Lame ass ending to a brutal season, but fun third period at least!

Nazar looked like stud in his brief stint. If he can be that consistently and Reichel can put together a full season, well by god we might just have fun next year!

  6. 10gherts

Well, I hope that’s the last time we see Soderblom in net.

Frustrating season, see ya next time Hawks fans.

Bedard should get calder no question.

  7. ClayBagel

If that ending isn’t a microcosm of this season, I don’t know what is.

  8. Impossible-Success45

when is the draft lottery again?

  9. Disgustoid

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a team go in into OT tied 4-4…with 13 SOG. That has to be some sort of record.

It’s been real, you guys. See you next season!

Tampa’s 2024 1st will be locked in at 20th OA pre-playoffs. Assuming a first round exit for Tampa, each upset for a team below them results in the pick moving up one spot.

    Chicago will be rooting for:

    – Florida over Tampa
    – Vegas over Dallas
    – Islanders over Hurricanes
    – Capitals over Rangers

The pick can move up from 20th OA to as high as 17th OA.

Fitting end to the season. Horrifically outshot, random burst of scoring, and crumbling in the end. Been a pleasure shitposting with you all, helped make it through an otherwise pretty terrible year for the Hawks. Still plenty to be excited about next year, we probably won’t be bottom 5 again.

Enjoy your bandwagons (I’m on team Pavelski,) see you in September!

  12. Grrrrrrrt420

Yea keep kurashev on the third line next year where he belongs. And please get rid of soderbum

    * Reichel blew through the defense and scored on a breakaway.
    * Dickinson appeared to score a SHG on a rebound, but it was overturned after a video review determined he kicked it in.
    * The Hawks scored 3 goals in 5 minutes to come back from down 3-1 and take a 4-3 lead.
    * T. Johnson scored a PPG. Anderson scored on a rush from the slot. Donato tipped in an Entwistle point shot.
    * The Kings tied it up on a late 6-on-4 PP. Then they scored quickly in OT.
    * The Hawks took a season-low 13 SoG.
    * The Hawks finished the season 23-53-6 with the 2nd-best lottery odds.

My 3 Stars of the season:

    1. **Connor Bedard** had an excellent rookie season, scoring 61 points in 68 games.
    2. **Petr Mrazek** held down the fort in net, keeping us in games.
    3. **Alex Vlasic** developed into a dependable defensive defenseman.

    Honorable mentions:

    * **Philipp Kurashev** more than doubled his points from last year.
    * **Nick Foligno** provided a good presence and leadership.
    * **Jason Dickinson** earned a career-high 22 goals scored.

fun season, we sucked as expected, and watching players like Vlasic break out was very fun

and Soderblom should not be in the NHL next season so that’ll be better too

  15. Just give me a season next year where Bedard isn’t continually passing up scoring chances trying to feed Kurashev. Or plays where Kurashev doesn’t kill a rush with a boneheaded pass. Please give Bedard actual linemates.

  16. LearningToFlyForFree

This trainwreck is finally over, fellas. Was a pleasure commiserating with you all this season. Shouts out to /u/sandman730 and /u/mcosta1973 for the recaps and timely goal posts. Mods, thanks for taking care of the riff raff this season, as always.

Now, pray to the hockey gods that we grab 1OA and piss off the entirety of the hockey world. Don’t forget to watch our studs in the Worlds. Only 172-ish more days until the next season.

  17. Grrrrrrrt420

Raza bedsy vlasic and Dickinson carried us all year

  18. wholalaa

That sure was a season. Here’s to better days ahead.

NBC Sports Chicago send off…so, what happens to the staff and on-air talent? Is the Stadium channel/app (?) starting from scratch?

  20. Foligno saying that “things have to drastically change over the summer.” Appreciate him speaking up and putting some pressure on the front office and the team.
