sorry missed this live… I like the last two trades… McCabe a top 4 def for $2M and two more years at a guy under 30 and Lafferty is one of the best PK guys this season with speed to burn and some sand paper also 2 more years good trade overall going in line nicely with last trade pick up
As a Blackhawk fan I'm scratching my head to find a silver lining in this trade. It's hard to rationalize a trade when your return is still two years away from materializing. The Hawks need players now. Not 2025 & 2026.
can you imagine Kerfoot for Schenn swap and I'm not opposed at trading 6'5" who plays like 5'6" Engvall and maybe dump Holl and his $2+M that would free up Murray to come back off LTIR… just because Holl has been decent at times I can't get past his last few seasons because it smells like a guy playing well in his contract year and then goes back to blowing chunks after he hits pay dirt

Man the East is stacked. Do you think the Hurricanes make any moves? Seeing all these teams around the East make big moves and the Hurricanes not doing anything has me questioning how solid their spot at the top of the Metro is and how they'll stack up in the playoffs. Not to say that they don't have a great team, just interesting that they haven't made a move.
