Robinson Wins Epic 3k At Husky Classic

Stanford’s Ky Robinson reminded everyone of his championship level kick at The Dempsey on Friday, February 9 by kicking home to win the Washington Husky Classic 3000m in a new meet and facility record 7:36.69. Northern Arizona’s Aaron Las Heras challenged Robinson on the last lap but could not hold off his kick. La Heras finished 2nd in 7:37.26.

Also finishing under the meet and facility record were Portland’s Matt Strangio, 7:39:02, and NAU’s Theo Qaux, 7:39.85.

Their times were NCAA all-time #2, #4, #11 and #13 for 3000 on any size track.

  1. Man the titles need some work. Idk ab y’all but personally I don’t want to know who’s going to win before I watch the race

  2. Bosley must be working off illness or injury. Otherwise, he would have been in the mix for sure. He is the record holder. Las Heras is impressing and Quax is always in the fight.

  3. Isn't Evan Jenkins a true freshman. If he ran 7:46, I'm not sure but if he's a high schooler, and he ran another lap for 3200, he would have likely set a national record, nice job

  4. Take out Robinson wins and the title is fixed. You can let the news people put the winner in the title. We wanna watch the race
