Oilers are going to get swept in 4 games…they are far to undisciplined and far to penalty-prone and the worst thing of all is that their entire Gameplan revolves around Interference and setting Illegal Pickplays to give Mcdavid and Leon just that 1-2 extra steps they need to break free from hardworking clean checking pressure…. so if the Reffs are simply honest and straight on that single issue the Oilers are not going far….they have to invest in a #1 Goalie and in a legitimate SYSTEM instead of trying to play River Hockey wiht no real System beyond Attaboys and Back-claps…..
Would it not be better to have Nuge on wing and Dicky in the middle? Ya Rico should just be injury replacement role.

Imo Henrique should be behind Samanski, Jones and Lazar in the pecking order. Too slow! Lazar is even a better faceoff man, grinder and physical player than Henrique.

Not impressed with Ike Howard. Heās brutal along the boards for a winger and seems to take perimeter low chance shots that are not going to produce at the nhl level. I am watching Sam OāReilly play tonight in the OHL playoffs and he has a much higher ceiling, imo. Early to tell, but if Howard doesnāt produce, it might look like we have lost that trade in what we forgo to have offensive help this postseason.

Letās hope they donāt immediately go to the ānuclear option ā by loading up Draisaitl and McDavid. The positives that have come from Draisaitlās absence, are the 3rd and 4th lines finally getting time to gel and develop style and personality. They are playing with a noticeable confidence as a result of knowing that they will get ice time. My biggest concern is that they revert to 29 and 97 getting the lionās share of ice time and alienating some of the other players. This has been a major issue in the past.

I know that they having Henrique in the lineup kind of sucks at this point in time, but with him in the lineup and him being kind of on that third line. Letās be honest here, if they got Nuge and Roslovic together, you can put Draisaitl or McDavid with them for certain shifts. Once Dickinson comes back, youāre looking at
Savoie – McDavid – Hyman
Pods – Drai – Kapanen/Roslovic
Nuge – Dickinson – Kapanen/Roslovic
Dach – Samanski – Frederic
Thatās a deep forward core if everyone stays healthy. Our defense, Iāve had no complaints about for a while now which is kind of new to me. And Ingram has been more than solid.
