Would be great if this team had someone to watch Larkins back. Every time he gets hit like that NOBODY retaliates…SOFT. And don't start with getting Perron back as yes he stuck up for him but he's 37 and still recovering from groin surgery…it's a joke of a trade stop it.
Perron is one of the slowest players in the league and takes the stupidest penalties. I get he is good in the locker room but damn, sad days if he is an upgrade on the bottom 6.
Stevie Y no more bargain basement trades. You have an extensive prospect pool. Bring in either Ristolainen, Faulk, Hamilton, Nemec. Trocheck, Kadri, or Thomas get it done.
With such high price tags for bottom 6 players, I really don’t care if Yzerman stays put. A conditional fourth rounder for Perron is fine. Detroit had 3 fourth round picks anyways. But, trading two of our top prospects, a first rounder and second rounder for a non elite player doesn’t make sense. I would’ve liked to get Stanley from Winnipeg tho, didn’t cost much!

I'm beginning to think Yzerman is not doing a good job. With all do respect to his history in Hockey. He doesn't have one player the caliber of his 90's team. Why is that? No McCarty, no Probert, no Linstrom, no Holstrum, no Shanny, no Draper, no player the caliber of any of these greats. WHY?
Steve better be working the phones all day because and much as I like Perron, he's a slow 37 yr old thats good for maybe a few more goals this season. We need a DOG in here to score 5v5 if we have any shot of going deep in the playoffs.
