Evgeni Malkin didn’t care much for being crosschecked to the ribs. On the other hand, you can’t just slash someone across the head. This a pretty extreme escalation and one that shouldn’t be tolerated.

8 is not enough imo and i doubt the DOPS gives anymore than 3 wich is total BS.
Dahlin has been doing this crap for years, never gets a penalty. Malkin was over the top but Dahlin deserved to get his butt kicked.

Malkin is a great player and a certified jackass, whereas Dahlin is a good-but-overrated player and a certified jackass. The check to the ribs could’ve ended Geno’s season. Without said offense, then there wouldn’t have been any retaliation from Geno. It is what it is.
