  1. This is the shit that happens when you don't fire Bettman 15 years ago and Parros the second he interviewed for the job like they deserved.

  2. If you watch clip you can see caine plyr actually launch himself forward to me it was a prime example of a dive .he gave a shove but it was not enough to do that

  3. Penalty forcross check … or for embelishment ?? That hit was VERY SOFT for an NHL play for position in front of the net IMHO.

  4. Mickey Redmond is the most impartial commentator in the NHL.
Yes, he loves the Wings, but he's also very professional when he calls the games.
When he says his patented, "Oh My!"
    You know there's something WRONG!

  5. Tbf in overtime that would also be a pretty soft call. Crosschecks in front of the net happen pretty often so it’d be hard to justify a call like this in ot.

  6. This is an everyday play all game. The only reason the Canes are arguing about it is because it just lost them the game. Not saying it shouldn’t be called, just noting that it was probably embellished a bit, and happens all game long.

  7. It should have been a penalty but stuff like that happens all the time. The refs are human and they make mistakes. It's part of the game. No use crying about it.

  8. As a Canucks fan Detroit has the best announcers in the league. The boys just love watching good hockey. I wish other team announcers would take note. Cough cough Colorado

  9. It wouldn't have and it shouldn't have even got to overtime blowing a 3-0 lead shows that they haven't quite developed the necessary killer instinct to finish games.

  10. How can you miss that call? Very suspicious. Have to look at that ref's betting history.

  11. Was it a literal cross check? Yes. Do those happen all the time by the D on a guy in front of the net in every game? Also yes. Was it a penalty? Nah. Dude was about to be out of position either way simply because he had his back to a guy who merely had to ease back slightly.
I’m not even saying that as a wings fan or a canes hater. That is part of the game. It was a push off, which is not illegal in the glorious game.

  12. This happens every game. I wouldn't think it would be controversial, just another example of shifty officiating in the nhl
