19-0-3,& 33-4-8,& on pace for 135 pts AFTER 45 GAMES! NHL record in 108 yrs also happens to be 135 pts-ENOUGH SAID FOR NOW-EXCEPT SOME OF YOU ARE SPOILED,& ENTITLED BEYOND BELIEF! THEY HAVE 4 REAL LOSSES IN 45 GAMES-WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? I know gimicky OT,& super gimicky SOs we suck at. Minor fits right in-great in regulation (1-0-3) but 0-3 past regulation-lol. And if the AVS as a team-were gonna play for gold at the Olympics-thatd be somewhat worrisome. Since the IIHF stupidly let's medals be decided by 3 on 3 OT,& eventually SOs-but thankfully the NHL playoffs don't!
Would ya rather be getting outplayed processwise-especially 5 on 5-for most games the last month or so? That'd be the Dallas Stars-closest team to us in NHL!And by "close"-I mean 11 pts back,we have game in hand,& great tiebreak shape. Ya our PP is still not good-though it has marginally improved but theirs is great. And it's good thing for them cuz along with goaltending-its about the only thing keeping them quasi in the race cuz they are getting outplayed processwise almost every night. Yes they are also good at comebacks. We know Dallas is very good, experienced & clutch-3 straight WCFs is no joke. But point is every other team-INCLUDING DALLAS,& MINNY-has FAR GREATER concerns right now/today.
Perspective matters,& more than 1 thing USUALLY IS TRUE-at same time. Struggling on the PP,& past regulation while being quasi historic 5 on 5-shouldnt be completely ignored. But also is kinda like being IRATE you have to pay taxes after winning the Power ball! Yes its something you can mildly complain about,& need to eventually fix in the AVS case.(PP they do need to fix big picture -but OT/SO they really DONT need to fix-though it'd be nice) But big picture how upset can ya really get about it while still being fair,& reasonable? BTW-ya know who is awesome in shootouts,& pretty damn good in 3 on 3 OT? Alexander Giorgiev-but I think yad have to pry him away FROM THE KHL IF ITS SO DAMN IMPORTANT!
