Who Are These Guys?

The Buffalo Sabres took on the Chicago Blackhawks on 11/21/2025 in Buffalo defeating them by a heavy score of 9-3. Josh Doan paced the Sabres with a pair of goals. Bowan Byram and Jacob Bryson both added goals from the defensive end. Ryan McLeod picked up a goal. Jason Zucker found the back of the net in his return as well. Tage Thompson extended his goal scoring streak to 5 games with his 11th marker of the season. Known sniper Mattias Samuelsson continued his torrid goal pace and is now on pace for a 20 goal campaign. Jack Quinn also found the back of the net for his 4th of the season to round out the scoring. In net Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 20 of 23 shots with a key breakaway stop on Connor Bedard in the 2nd period to arrest thoughts of a Blackhawks comeback. The Sabres will have yet another opportunity to get back to .500 on Sunday afternoon when the Carolina Hurricanes visit Keybank Center.

  1. The big story is Tage might have finally found an equal partner in Doan. Two big physical guys that can score and compliment each other in more ways than one. Add Sniper Tuch… This might potentially be the best top line in all of hockey 👍 🏒

  2. Benson – Kulich – Norris line? When they're back healthy? Not a bad 3rd lkne… I like McLeod with Zucker… Do you try Norris with them? It's an energy line, they create chaos and capitalize off it. Maybe have Benson, Kulich and Quinn compete on the 3rd line with the other lines… Decisions… Decisions.

  3. Anybody else hear Benson let out a "shittt…" right after Byram slid into the boards? Also, Samuelson had a solid game and made one defensive play in his own zone that I had to rewind and watch back several times. He basically cut off the angle of the Blackhawks player, forced him behind the net, one hand poke checked the puck, battled for the puck against two opposing players and theb won the battle and slid a calm pass behind the net to his teammate. This all occured right after Dahlin turned it over trying to force an outlet pass out of the d-zone.

  4. Carolina, never, I mean never watch a game when they play that team! They never win and it annoys me sooooo much to see that Aho guy always score against us and him smiling, I hate smiling

  5. Would’ve been a livestream of the ages! Not to be a Debby downer but you already know we’ll lose 1-0 next game but have like 30+ shots. I pray that doesn’t happen but yk them… consistently inconsistent.

  6. With this team, expect the unexpected!
Be prepared for a 2 goal victory over Carolina Sunday afternoon 😮

Chris we appreciate your passionate, informed opinions Keep them coming!

  7. Love your vids. As far as “blowing things up”… no. I mean you could trade Tuch, UPL and Power only if the assets coming back makes sense. I like Ostlund, Rosen, Benson, Kulich, Doan, Dahlin, Byram, Kozak and eventually Helenius as a young core. However I worry that Tage might not wanna stick around if we trade away those three I mentioned. He is tough to replace and Norris is such a mystery long term. Big contract / too much risk… I wonder what Cozens would have looked like on this team this year. Anyways… go Sabres! Let’s beat Carolina in the only barn we seem to be able to have a “chance” at beating them in.

  8. OK to be totally honest I don't care if it was 9 to 3 or 20 to 3 until these guys can play cohesively game in a game out which I know they can and the playoffs would be easily made. I'm not excited for that win at all we'll see how they play against Carolina but I'm gonna say we lose 5-2
