During his first game back after being traded, Joe hits Hal
“illegally” from behind/side. Thus, he gets ejected from the game. It was a very disappointing game for everyone that wanted to watch Joe play against his former club.

the side of his head hit the boards and so did the side of his body how the fuck was he hurt?
that hit was clean
It was clean… Hal gill was just in an awkward position.
This always happens to Jumbo…. But w/e NHL refs are fucked
@y4m5m5 you obviously don't know a thing about hockey because he clearly hits him from behind. you get hit like that and say that it is clean.
even the league said it was a clean hit and removed the misconduct.
so now it is clear to me why the NHL hates the sharks! WE STOLE THEIR FAVORITE PLAYER from the team THAT THE LEAGUE GETS THEIR DICK SUCKED WITH
I love Joe as a player, but he can clearly see the numbers and pushed him face first into the boards. You have to be an idiot to say that's a clean hit
it was intent to injure so yh its dirty
Gill didn't do jack shit the entire time he played for Boston I'm glad Joe did this.
overreacting much.
gill turns his head and sees him coming after him..
That sucks for the Bruins fans, I feel like they booed the refs more than Joe
HAL GILL FOR NORRIS 11-12 !!! 😀
thorton is a cheap shot artist and hes a baby diver too
wow you can't look at the outcome of the hit. If he gets injured on a clean hit you can't eject the player……
im a bruins fan… GILL is a pussy…thats why it was so bad…cause gill is a girl… lol
That was definitely a boarding minor, but a game misconduct?
Thornton did everything he could. He rode Gill into the boards instead of shoving him. If Gill wasn't such a crappy skater the hit would have looked clean…because it was
Clean…
Gill was the biggest pussbag when he played in Boston. Guy couldn't fight to save his life and he couldn't skate either. Clean hit.
You could see both his numbers when he was hit. Bullshit call…
