Vegas couldn't check Cap Friendly, eh?
A 1st round pickis a bit harsh here.. Vegas pushed hard for this, but they dont actually benefit from it.. either way, this was Dorion's screw up and could very well be the straw that breaks the camel's back when it comes to his position as an NHL GM.
Was this alleged phone/message regarding the question of "does he have a trade clause " call recorded?
I am honestly skeptical that the question was even asked by Vegas..

The Sens definitely botched this… and if it's true that the Sens said that there was no no-trade list… that needs to be punished. But a first round pick… yikes!!! That's harsh.
The Agent and the Knights have their role to play in this as well, no? It's that part of the due diligence a team does when initially acquiring a player?! Like right up there on the checklist of things to ask for? And as for the agent, as the trade deadline was approaching and I'm SURE there were discussions as to the possibility of teams interested – would the no-trade list not surface then?!?!
This all stinks and the Sens are getting the sharp end in the eye. Perhaps they deserved the majority of the blame – but most certainly NOT a FIRST ROUNDER!!!
I hope that there is an appeal process they can pursue.
The fact that they view sexual assault a lesser punishment then this is disgusting.
