@Boston Bruins

There is NO PLACE in the NHL for this

It is rare that NHL fans can agree on much, but I think this has to be one of those times. in tonights rematch of that incredible Stanley Cup Playoff series between the Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins last season, its fair to say this one had some extra emotion to it. Head Coach Jim Montgomery made that clear before the game stating their summer was miserable until the finals ended and it was all because of the panthers so this wasn’t just any game. After the Bruins found themselves down early, Charlie McAvoy had the game tying goal in the 3rd before just minutes later, laying a nasty late, blindside hit on Oliver Ekman-Larson who went down. McAvoy had his head up the whole way, had all the time in the world to change his path but he committed anyway making a b line for Ekman Larson clipping him up high.

This is an incredibly dangerous hit and could absolutely end a guys career. I talk about that and everything else this game had to offer in todays NHL hockey video!

  1. I wish I knew the missing context. I don’t support this behavior but the whole story would at least give us insight leading up to it. I can’t help but wonder if the cameras and refs just missed something egregious the other way and this was retaliation. I don’t believe he did this just for the hell of it. Just food for thought.

  2. He will get a slap on the wrist as usual because the guy isn't dead even if he should get 8-12 he will get 2-3

  3. Wth was he thinking, players that believe they get payed to pull that kind of shit are so fucking stupid, just take him off the team, the contract should be ripped in half

  4. He does have a history of these types of hits,he did the same thing to verhaeghe earlier in this game. 5 game minimum suspension.

  5. Nobody outside of boston can stand their teams or fans. Thats what i expect a bostonian to do to me in the streets if i was visiting.

  6. It Cassidy’s legacy of roughy hockey, which must be eliminated completely from Boston hockey. I from Eastern Europe, I love Hockey and I Pens fan. I be very happy when Boston won Cup against Vancouver. Bruins be perfect team, skill, energy, beautiful attack hockey. When Cassidy come in Boston I not liked how Boston turns in simple, roughy forced hockey team, they lost they champions skill hockey style. But, on last season when Montgomery came I and Boston fans saw what high skill, fast hockey with interesting attacks. I happy what Boston return they game after many disappointing seasons. But, moments like this bad hit it like ghost 👻 of what dump roughing hockey style which Cassidy started. McAvoy always be scoundrel, he good defensemen, but he always liked roughy hockey. I believe what coach need good talk with him about it, what it not Boston hockey style anymore.
    I be very surprised what Cassidy went out from rough hockey style in Vegas. He good coach, and it big question for me why when he be Boston coach he rebuild team play style in rough? It be big mistake to turn so much talented, strong, high skill team (I mean Boston) in rough “working” team like it not had high scoring, skill players. Panthers good, young team, and I understand what Boston fans angry on them, because in Stanley Cup finals Panthers looked weaker when in series before it. I think Panthers tired and not be able to play better. P.S.Please, sorry for my poor English. Hockey – Love – Peace ☮️ 🌏 Glory to Ukraine!

  7. So McAvoy should be suspended the next time Boston plays Florida……..That would be November 22nd March 26th.
    To serve a 2 game suspension versus Toronto and Detroit makes no sense at all.
    This is where the NHL gets it wrong as Florida will surely make a run on McAvoy in their next matchups.

  8. If this doesn't get more than that 40+ game suspension for gambling… there's something wrong.

  9. You all are over reacting. Yes it was a bad hit but hockey is a contact sport and hits like this happen all the time. If it's too violent for you don't watch.

  10. The amount of Bruins fans I saw defending this hit is insane. Saying things like "2 minute minor"…."not predatory at all"….lol ok

  11. That was a intent to injure. Plain and simple and should be disciplined accordingly. That’s not what this game is about ! Physicality is expected, but cheap-shots? Nope!
