  1. Makes no sense. 4 games in, he has 3 points still good numbers and its 4 games! I don't see anyone saying that Ovi's start is worrying. He has 0 goals in his first 4 games and will probably still score 30-40 which is less than worrying.

  2. I’m not worried about Suzuki’s production at all, but comparing him to Bergeron just because of similar points total when Bergeron’s whole game wasn’t centered around points is lazy.

It’s not enough to have to compensate defensively for your wingers … welcome to being a center in hockey. You gotta be the guy they call in every time when there is a face off to win on both ends, you gotta block shots like a maniac, hit other players, not be scared to play along the board and corners, aka be a complete player.

So far the go to center for Montreal in defense is Monahan not Suzuki.

  3. Trade Suzuki for Fabbri? Didn't think so! Have patience. The season is long. The Canadians don't seem to be doing badly.

  4. Even with his 2 points last night he had a terrible game. Those 5-3 power plays weee embarrassing thanks to him

  5. You mean “should we worry about the 1st overall pick who doesn’t even get shots on net on a second line for 3 games” It hurts to see bedard dance around all these players and create chances for himself and we’re stuck with a guy who doesn’t know how to play on small ice. 😞

  6. First, Jici here it's the guy initial Jean-Charles (J.-C.) Lajoie he is a sports (hockey) commentator for TVA Sports.

Secondly it's not the first time Nick "Suzy/Zukes" Suzuki is compared to former Bruins #37 Patrice Bergeron-Cleary better known as Patrice Bergeron. Both were good in 200 ft. i.e. Good offensively and Defensively. However Patrice is 2 inches taller and was 2 years earlier in his NHL progressions.

I can't really compare Nick Suzuki and Brad Marchand Suzuki is 3 inches taller than Marchand is a Center while Marchant is a left winger and even the style of play. Marchant has the peculiar skill to go under the skins of his opponents. In another words Marchand is what is called in the Hockey World as a Rat or if you prefer Boston's Rat aka B. Rat = Brad B.Rat Marchand.

Brad is not a goon at 5'9" , but he is not affraid to do what ever it need to be done to win a game even if it's dirty.

I believe a guy like Matthew Tkachuk (FLA) or his brother Brady Tkachuk (OTT) are more alike Brad Marchand ofter people compared. The only guy who is comparable a little bit with Brad Marchand is Brandan Gallagher . Both 5'9" both Winger , both scorer, neither are affraid of playing th trafic. But Gallagher don't have the same reputation as Marchand. but still it fits more the Marchand profile than Nick Suzuki.

Brad also has a particuliar skill. He is very good to pick up pucks in his skates. He is a very good shooter. He is still an elite players in the NHL.

Suzuki is more an happy-go-lucky type of guy he got silky hand and he is smart (hockey IQ). Some compared him with former Detroit Red Wings Pavel "Magic" Datsyuk or a poor man Joe Sakic but Joe Sakic was a better scorer than Nick Suzuki.

  7. TVA sports knows nothing about nothing about hockey , to them if your name is not Drouin or Daigle you're not a star.
