  1. Good return (Helleson projects much like Manson with more puck skill)
Good acquisition for the Avs (They really needed a nasty hard hitting defenseman who is good at defense)

    Win-win imo

  2. Josh Manson off the books now so leafs can’t get him anymore. He wouldn’t come here anyways. I think he would had blocked it.

  3. I think Avalanche could make some other moves as well like trade for defenseman Colton White and Forward Mitchell Stephens and a minor trade like a 7th round pick or future considerations or a 6th round pick

  4. Wowsa!! I Love this deal for the Avs—All in for the Stanley Cup is the feeling here in Colorado–Manson brings some grit and toughness, which the Avs really need going into the playoffs—that lack of size and grit really hurt them in the playoffs past 3 years. I anticipate more moves by the Avs before the deadline. Still hoping Patrick Kane wounds up in Denver.

  5. This is only the beginning for the Ducks in the NY Post today that Lindholm & Rakell will be on Broadway before tomorrow's game against the Ducks . Ducks will get Kravstov, Nemeth, Lundquist a 2-3 round pick and a player to be named later!!!!!!

  6. I kinda expect for Sakic to make more moves. The Avs need someone to replace Landeskog. A couple more is expect by good old Super Joe.

  7. Excellent report, as always–just a friendly reminder to all that this Channel is about the shared love of hockey and for rational, logical debate and discussion of the topics presented–altho , some wear their hearts on their sleeves, and are very passionate about their team, there is no room for hate, chirping, slandering and bad manners on the Channel–it's simply uncalled for and unnecessary—Have a great day, all, and let's see how things go as the trade deadline nears–myself, Interested in what the Leafs do prior to deadline –of all the contenders, IMHO, the most pressure is on the Leafs to win the Cup, because of all the talent and the long drought since the last Cup win. The Avs are feeling the same pressure, because of expectations, altho their Cup drought is not nearly as long as Toronto's.

  8. Good trade for the Avs. I think Manson could've been a great fit for Toronto, but eh. This should tighten the market even more for teams interested in guys like Chiarot.

  9. 1:25 I completely disagree that this is a "steal" for Col. I think it's a very good trade for both teams. Helleson projects to be a Josh Manson type player but has shown surprising promise on offense the last 2 years which Manson isn't known for. Anaheim has a potential top 4 RD for the next 5+ years plus whatever they get from the 2nd round pick, and Col likely only gets a rental who fits their needs perfectly now, but only now. Well balanced for both teams.
