[McCallum] David Reinbacher seems very underrated He had the highest-scoring draft year of any defender this decade, and he did it against the toughest competition of any defensive prospect so far too Rn he has a plausible claim to best DY statistical profile of any defender in the 2020s

Don’t set expectations too high guys but he’s better than Bobby Orr.
Based on his game I don’t think he’ll ever be a super high scoring guy, but as the days go on I’m liking the pick more and more.
I’m not sure he knows what “underrated” means.
His potential is crazy high. I really liked him pre draft. I think he’s a player that’s poised to have a crazy post draft development curve he has literally every tool and skill to be a monster.
In the 2020s… We’re in 2023
Yeah, I’ll stick to real world facts when he actually starts here.
Fuck Norrislinder gang I’m now in the Rainorrisbacher gang.
Who are the guys he is being compared to. Hardly recognize any of them.
He’s gonna look great on a pair with Sam Dickinson in a couple of years
Also: great chart legend 😂
This is a very interesting part of Reinbacher
If you watch him play he really doesn’t seem that offensive, his toolset certainly wouldn’t lead you to believe he is
But he regularly finds himself on the scoresheet
Hutson Reinbacher Guhle Mailloux is going to be the best top 4 we’ve had in the last 30 years
He looks like the General. Plays with such a confidence and I put him ahead of Hutson and Slaugh
Can’t wait until this guy silences all the doubters. In preseason it was incredible how poised and positionally sound he was for an 18 year old.
I’m not worried about him that’s for sure, he looked good in preseason! He’ll develop some more this season and likely start next season in Laval
Watching him play kinda reminded me of Sanderson. First year you could see the talent but obviously he still needed to develop and now all his tools are translating to the NHL and is on his way to become a solid 1D.
David has all the tools and his decision making is excellent to the point the game slows down around him. It might take him 2-3 years but I think he’ll reach the level Sanderson is at now
