Beer drinkers by and large are working class good old boys and young males. Why would you focus on a minuscule market, any minuscule market? Focus on market share within your target demographics and you’re good. Not many people realize Anheuser Busch is not an American company but Belgian and that the new leading brand, Modelo is also owned by AB. Why wouldn’t you develop a new brand to appeal to that market rather than risk your flagship? Idiotic. Businesses should focus on economics not political causes.
