Kings fan been rooting for Flames as I believe Sutter got shafted by some of big contract players in the end. Sutter teams every player as a role. Richardson ,Lucic , Tafoli ,Lewis they know what is expected of them. Johhny hockey going to need someone like Tafoli to stir the drink when he is cold.
That’s narrow minded of him to say he doesn’t remember toffoli scoring big goals, where was he on Mars?. Face it, teams need goal scorers and you should acknowledge and respect them. If all players were like sutters, all games would end 0-0.
As a habs fan, I always thought his offensive game was a little over rated and his defensive game was very under rated. Fantastic all around top 6 winger on any team really. Anybody know about the prospect we got in return? Heard he’s viewed as a Alex tuch similar prospect

Toffoli really is one of those "the reason you got this far" guys. I was very sorry to see him leave the Habs, but I'm happy for him to get into the playoffs, and have a chance at the cup. He's a great addition to the Flames.
What DS meant "Past is the past." He is aware Toff has a knack of scoring goals in bunches but also was inconsistent when he was with the Kings. His breakthrough was with the Habs to be honest.
Hey sorry. I haven't been paying attention to hockey lately but I'm just wondering if the Flames traded for Toffoli, and if so, who? Honestly just curious.
The Sutter family are farmers. They’ve worked all their life, they ain’t going to recognize the fancy goal scorers and want the grinders. The workhorses, they get you where you need to be. His coaching and mentality has rubbed off on the Flames. Adding a player like Toffoli with his relationship with Darryl. Watch out for this team in the playoffs. Wouldn’t want to play them

Toffoli scores goals and forechecks. fans who saw Toffoli have a great season in Montreal and remember him when he was utilized properly on the Kings know he can score. This playoff run with Calgary was awful for Toffoli scoring wise. Reminded me of Sutter in LA putting Toffoli with players on lines that did not mesh well and his scoring all but, disappeared.
