Canadian cities like Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton – have colder winters than Boston. All Canadian cities have higher tax rates than USA places. Winnipeg has a lot of lakes nearby – for cottages & fishing, good musicians like Neil Young come from here, arts (theatre & symphony & Folk Festival), marathons, average house is about $300k, many Winnipegers ski in Montana or winter in Texas straight south, and my golf membership is $540 (we get free health care here). Winnipeg doesn’t have the Black Lives Matter & Gun Violence issues USA has. Of as well – the Prime Ministers of Canada aren’t being prosecuted. But Winnipeg does respect Boston pro sports teams – I am a Jet & Bruins fan myself. I chose Winnipeg over Boston for myself & my grandkids. Hope you enjoy Boston yourself – take care! USA players from North Dakota, Minnesota & Wisconsin like Manitoba – Buff was a good example.
If Mark Scheifele comes to Boston, it will be a one year rental. He is up for a new contract at the end of next season. If he has another 30 to 40 goal season he will be looking for a deal north of 9 million which the Bruins do not have in cap space. Currently they do not have enough cap space to sign Krejic if he wanted to play next year.
