Let me know your thoughts on todays signings
Another reason to smile) 👄
I would be shocked if the Penguins don't use this buyout window
Great report Mike!!!
Re: Troy Terry…..great signing for both the Ducks and the player. He's only going to get better as he enters his prime years. Getting Zegras signed will be an important next BIG step for the Ducks future success to maximize potential for success with the young talent they have.
Re: Pens and Petry….too bad to see Petry's game go south as it has. He was a beast for the Habs during their Cup run a few years ago and has steadily gone downhill. I realize injuries have played a role in his decline BUT also his age now is a huge barrier.
Re: Miller…..well….the door is now open for the lad to play pro hockey overseas and to see what he can make of his life. I'm sure he realizes that this will be his ONLY way even to be considered for the NHL by Bettman et al based on if he can turn his life around. You gotta give credit to Habs prospect Logan Maillieux who has totally rehabilitated his image over the past 2 years and has been a major FORCE on "D" in the OHL. He's going to be a top pair right "D" for the Habs within 3-5 years.
since the NHL imposes a salary cap on teams, could the NHL require that a team moving a contract to try to free up some cap space receive an AHL prospect in trade? and would that be a fair arrangement? seems a little unfair that a team sending a player to another team to free up cap space would also have to send a second or more players
Excellent report–Good for the Ducks to get the Terry deal done. So, Mitchell Miller gets a deal in Europe, eh? Well, now. we'll see if he shows any real regret about his previous actions off-ice—good conduct plus on-ice production over time (3-5 years) might get him another NHL opportunity, but, there would have to be absolutely no drama on his part–in fact, doing some sort of community service would go a long way towards restoring his damaged reputation in North America.
Mitchell Miller is playing in Europe, I bet all cancelers are spinning about this!
