  1. I skipped ahead to the pacific standings lol. I would personally put Vegas just slightly ahead of Kings. Otherwise seems perfect list for me. Suggestion that I think would be cool for videos like this is put up how many points you think each team will finish with as well. Oilers – 112. Kings – 107. Vegas – 106. Etc. just to show sort of how far apart each team is.

  2. Hey man, it’s been about a year since I’ve known you, and you probably recognize my username. It’s been a roller costor ride, and I remember last year you made a video like this saying the same thing about the Canucks on how we always say “next year”. 😂 But man hopefully we can prove something, at least.

  3. I don’t agree with the kings, maybe I gotta see Dubois but overall VGK got younger and traded a player who was losing his groove to most likely pop in pavelski dorofeyev who was Putting up point per game stats

  4. Last off-season, everyone predicted that Buffalo would finish either last or next-to-last in the Atlantic Division with absolute certainty, and how wrong they were! Their young players have gained a year of experience, they added what could be the goalie of the future in Devon Levi late in the year, and they addressed their defensive woes by adding not one, but two veteran defenseman via free-agency. Anyone who thinks the Sabres aren't making it to the post-season this year….egg, meet face!!!

  5. As of now I would predict these standings

    Metro

    1. Carolina
    2. New Jersey
    3. NY Rangers
    4. Pittsburgh
    5. NY Islanders
    6. Washington
    7. Columbus
    8. Philadelphia

    Atlantic
    1. Toronto
    2. Tampa Bay
    3. Ottawa
    4. Buffalo
    5. Boston
    6. Florida
    7. Detroit
    8. Montreal

    Pacific
    1. Edmonton
    2. Vegas
    3. Los Angeles
    4. Vancouver
    5. Seattle
    6. Calgary
    7. Anaheim
    8. San Jose

    Central
    1. Dallas
    2. Colorado
    3. Minnesota
    4. St. Louis
    5. Winnipeg
    6. Nashville
    7. Arizona
    8. Chicago

Notes: Buffalo and Ottawa are basically tied, Florida's defense is horrible early on and Boston doesn't have a first line center. Metro I just don't trust the CBJ goaltending but I could see them passing Washington if Kuemper doesn't carry that team. Pacific I think Seattle will drop a bit, I think Vancouver will be better and I think Calgary will be bad (assuming they trade Lindholm and Hanifin). I do have both Vancouver and Seattle getting wild card spots and I think Calgary could pass them if they don't trade their stars. Central is just bad, I have Nashville falling off because their offense is really bad, Winnipeg I'm assuming they trade some of their top players away and STL I just feel like will be a bounce back team. I could see them taking the second wild card but I'm as of now saying Seattle takes it.

  6. Norris scored 35 not 40 but he was on pace for 42 before his injury so it was 35 in 66 games I believe. Also I don't think Korpisalo is too high risk because I don't think he has to be good, just that he has to be average and the sens will be fine.

  7. I don't think Ottawa improved as much as everyone says they have. Cat for Taro is an improvement but I really don't understand the thought that Norris is gonna come back at that 35 goals or better, when he was on a 20+ % shooting and not having a great passing game. Yet everyone treats it like his benchmark, when we don't know what player is coming back after a year off.

For example, eichel missed a year for his neck, and while ok to good when he came back, it took months of in game action to look similar to what he was capable of in buffalo.

Last year was their year according to everyone at the time. Summer of Dorian. Definitely top 8 in the east was the narrative. This off-season feels like repeat to me.

Buffalo stays ahead in my opinion. Florida finishes worse too, they're down Montour AND Ekblad to start the season. That's pretty significant to their O and D

  8. Okay Atlantic division is where you fucked up. Tarasenko produced on stl and nyr but how will he with Ottawa? Also their goaltending is so so questionable because Joonas Korpisalo has never had a starting role and has pretty much been a very inconsistent backup for his career. Maybe forsberg or Talbot will be the goalie but korpi isn't that. Plus Josh Norris got 35 in 21-22 not even touching 40 and this past season he didn't even get the chance to score 40 but with the defense they got, buffalo is far better than this team. Mittelstadt is a top 6 player alongside cozens and maybe oloffson, maybe Savoie but the teams got some depth and Ottawa outside top six really isn't much
