  1. From Oct up until he got hurt, Juraj's progression was going very well. I think with him, Guhle, Arber and his brother, Reinbacher etc. we're gonna have a scary, deep team in a few years.

  2. B Katchuk Matthews Laine and Rantanen are recent examples of high draft picks that did a lot better than Slaf on Y1 except Rantanen. All are lighter than Slaf but some are taller. Maybe Slaf was heavier than most kids (maybe too heavy) but he is done growing. He’s been 6.3 for years. Also he needs to show he can keep his head up and keep his balance. Future is not set yet. I hope we get lucky though.

  3. Josh work on the blinking when your not the person talking it's annoying. It's a huge tell. 😅 like the show

  4. and this is exactly why it bothers me that people already call him a bust. He doesn't even look like he knows how big he really is yet. They definitely need to do better with his development in the coming season however and he'll be a solid top 6 forward.

  5. While Slaf was injured, he really got to watched the game from up top. I think will help him too with the smaller ice . If he watches himself from last year on video and from watching up top , now he will be different. He's only 18

  6. I think slaf is going to be great it’s just taking him times but that’s ok and also congrats on 6.5k🎉

  7. Last 15 game of Slaf is no goal, no assist and no points and -12. What I dont want to see next season its these stats again because he is not ready, why its so hard to put a 19 years old player at Laval. RHP took his place at 24, it's simple like that and its fair. And if he is good, he will lead at Laval and as soon as there is an injury, he will go up and try to take a place.

  8. Caufield-Suzuki-Dach
    Slaf-Newhook-RHP
    Dvorak-Monahan-Gally
    Hoffman-Evans-Anderson

    Matheson-Savard
    Guhle-Barron
    Wifi- Harris

  9. You want to develop forwards in pairs instead of trios. If you assume another high pick next season, we’ll have 6 play driving forwards. Think about what that might look like in a couple seasons –

    Suzuki-Caufield
    Dach-Newhook
Slaf-2024 high pick (Monahan for now)

Then you fill in the other top 9 slots with role players such as: Anderson, Beck, Roy, RHP, Heineman and Mesar.

  10. RHP has a one-way contract so he would have to clear waivers to be sent down.
No way the Habs risk losing him.

  11. Dach has to play entre on second line. So, I would switch Dach and Monohan. Scratch Hoffman since we won't get anything good for him at the deadline. Might get a 4th round pick woopy doo… MTL has a ton of picks and young guns, and they have to play them. Gallagher is probably going to be injured 80% off the time until he gets that sweet money on LTIR. So this makes room for Pezz and RHP to make the line up most of the year. Unless there's a big surprise at camp.

  12. Believe me if you want somebody to compare to Safkosky, try an ex-habs who was traded to the Flyers : John Leclaire. Trading him was a big mistake and now He returns tothe Habs in Slaf body. This is a miracle.

  13. Caufield Suzuki Slav
    Newhook,Dach, RDP
    Gally Monahan Anderson
    Pizza Beck Roy

    Lane Popcorn
    Guile , Logan
    Wifi, Struble or Civic

  14. He’s got to mature into the game and get comfy with the size of the rinks, this next season he should begin to master the speed and toughness of the game in the NHL.

  15. Slaf was treated more than Fair because he did NOT earn a spot on the team he was DIFTED a spot. There were several players that did not get a spot that played better than him so he did not deserve much on the big team lucky to be there.
We all love to see Slafkovsky succeed because he has that big body we need. However habs fanbois get ridiculous with their terms like great skilled so far NOBODY has proven much on the habs Pinard a LAVAL player accomplished as much as anyone also leading all forwards at +7.
On defense Matheson has solidified himself as a solid defenseman with offensive upside the rest of the team were on the fifth worst team in the league can't score and also one of the worst defensively.

  16. I am happy to hear SOME common sense Guhle and Savard were NOT good enough to be the top pairing it was Matheson and Kovacevic.IMO Guhle is going to struggle again this year especially defensively.
From the little I have seen Struble looks like he might get there he is getting close and so is Trudeau.Guhle has some offensive upside but the rest of his game is a bit weak right now but yeah it was his rookie year he shouldn't have been getting any first line ice time.

  17. We need to quit with the shallow mentality that we need to see a 40 goal scorer or a defenseman getting 15-20 goals we need to see players play like winners a roster full of pluses and to shore up our defensive coverage the forwards seem to come back and cover nobody…public skating anyone !!.
If I see a player getting 15 goals and is a +20 that is a VERY good sign of good hockey sense.

  18. Best player to be born on his birthday, 6'3 exactly, left shot, with short hair and slav.

  19. Caufield-Zuke-Andy
    Gally-Monahan-Hoffman
    Newhook-Dach-Slaf
    RHBedard-Evans-Armia

  20. Gally's contract is a pain right now , everyone knew he wouldn't be healthy with his style on the ice. I know he always had kind of bad contract for what he was doing on the ice before. But now it's clear that it's an overpay. Armia and hoffman aren't great contract but it's one and two years so. I would like to see Dvorak on a complete season without injuries , it would be nice to see i'm at 100% for a change , maybe he's worth the contract stil don't really know.

  21. I really hope Beck plays center on third on fourth. He is the future start Two way player and he needs to be developed

  22. yep, Habs are going to lose Ylonen on waivers to Keep Wideman around as #8. Genius, Hockey Writers lol too many garbage voices out here. Where is RHP??

    Newhook Suzy CC
    Slaf Dach Mony(F/O)
    Hoff Dvo Andy
    RHP Evans Gally
    Pezz Ylonen
    Armia Laval

  23. I love how hard Slaf is working, I just hope he remembers to go out and enjoy himself, have fun.

  24. I really like Ylönen but if we loose him to waiver I believe that Heineman is a better version. Hughes is too smart to loose somebody to waiver I predict he will be in an exchange package somehow.
