TAYLOR HALL TRADED TO CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS | Instant Reaction & Analysis

TRADE ALERT! The Boston Bruins have traded Taylor Hall (2x$6M) and the UFA rights to Nick Foligno to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for the RFA rights to Alec Regula and Ian Mitchell. The Bruins free up some money to re-sign their pending UFAs, and Chicago gets a first line playmaker for Connor Bedard. Who do you think wins the trade and why? 1. Poor Taylor Hall, he has been on such horrible teams his whole career, and now that he has been on the best regular season team of all time, they trade him to yet another horrible team. Could you imagine if the Bruins pulled a Tampa Bay Lightning and won the next two Stanley Cups? That would be heartbreaking and gut-wrenching for Taylor Hall.

  2. Moving Hall out might be just enough to resign Bertuzzi and Hathaway. So looking at the trade as Hall for Bertuzzi + Hathaway. 100% win for Bs.

  3. Hope Hawks don't sign Foligno. He's in the twilight of his career so I would be happy if he ends it going back to Columbus. Playing with Marcus in Minnesota or playing in Ottawa

  4. Nick foligno signed for $4m one year deal… hawks making good moves and you were right on the money. Go hawks!

  5. I'm a day late on this, but just seeing that Miles Wood was granted permission to talk to teams. I'd absolutely LOVE Wood for the Bruins, and think he fits what we need a bit more than Hall did. Hurts to see Hall go, but if we could get someone like Wood for a lot cheaper, it puts us in a much better position for a soft rebuild!
