  1. Podkolzin was making tape to tape passes. And can go end to end. Just depends on if Highmore can up his game. Seems he can't score to save himself. But he can pass. No clue with the other guy. Hope they are not setting the kid up to fail.

  2. Joulevi has a far superior coach and coaching staff to work with now in Florida. Juolevi never skated himself into trouble, in fact his playmaking decisions and outlet passes were decisive with a high completion rate. Time will tell to see if he can carve out an NHL career.

  3. Olli showed up out of shape and I for one don't want someone like that on my team. It's like thumbing your nose at your team mates.

  4. Olli is about the least passionate player I've seen. I don't know the guy but from everything I saw? I was asking if the guy has a pulse. Remember the goal he scored? Aw jeez. Shucks…

  5. Liked how he said teams don't want to learn either because they think they are smarter than anyone else or just that they don't want to learn lol!!! Spoken by a former GM no less!

  6. Young players hitting RFA status are holding the NHL hostage, and it needs to be rectified in the next CBA. The amount of compensation for offer sheeting an RFA player should be minimum doubled to remove some of the leverage. Players coming off ELCs are constantly holding out for huge contracts. Just ask Toronto how much fun it was dealing with Nylander and Marner in back to back summers. Ask Ottawa how much fun they’re having with Tkachuk. RFAs have gotten into the habit of always being the guys late for training camp, because they’re snivelling about money. This was bound to happen under this current CBA, and it isn’t good for the game! Maximize the amount these guys can make – prior to hitting UFA status. They haven’t paid their dues. They’re greedy, and they’re overpaid for what they’ve accomplished! Bargain for a salary structure for players coming off their ELC. There’s no legitimate reason why any of them guys should be paid more than 5 million a year….Period! Ask yourself what Quinn Hughes and Petterson have accomplished during their NHL careers so far to deserve 7-8 million a season respectively?

  7. Button seems to ACT some of his analysis than actually doing it, meaning Vancouver is really not on his radar of attention. It's merely a talking point for him to enjoy the air time.
