  1. SELL THE TEAM!!!!!!! For me if the plan is to retool not rebuild than Petey, Hughes and Demko would be what I build around.

  2. Hughes signed his contract and doesn't really hold the hammer in this matter. Older guys tend to have more leverage due to unrestricted free agency. That's probably why we hear more "I don't want to be here for a rebuild" quotes from them.

  3. The Canucks are too busy rolling out a new Virtue Signaling 750$ Jersey every two weeks rather than being competitive in this league.

  4. great. we’re going to suck for years and we will get worse not better. While missing a home-grown generational talent.

  5. Outside of the Coyotes, who are almost intentionally bad, the Canucks are the worst managed team in the league by a long shot.

  6. You don't re-build with the guys on that roster. We needed a top4 RHD.

People need to realize this team is far better than their record.

Please don't believe rumors around players leaving it was bullshit.

Here's your core, Demko, EP, Quinn, Mikayev, Hronek , JT, Kuzmenko, Podkolzin, Beau, why the hell would you blow it up?
People realize we have had historic poor goaltending this season right?

I'm glad you mentioned the devils, they have pretty much the same team as last season, the only difference is they have gotten better goaltending.

Now let me be clear, this defence needs a couple more pieces but blowing it up won't accomplish that and there are no guarantees after another 5 year rebuild we luck out with guys like Quinn, EP , Demko etc.
They need to trim the fat by moving Money around, perhaps buying out OEL if they really need the cap (very buyout friendly)
or moving Myers and other non core pieces but listen I get it, people love to shit on this team and blow things out of proportion.

Quinn said a lot more than what you played, he said what most real nuck fans are thinking and that's imagine if we had league average goaltending,? Top10 offense and PP, I can promise you things would be looked at much differently.

  7. The reporter even asked him about his Jack in NJ and you can see it his face when he mentions not only Jack but Luke and how happy they are and going to be in the playoffs. Summer will be interesting that’s for sure

  8. The hockey gods have decided to award the Anaheim Ducks Connor Bedard as he will fit greatly with the young core and togheter become a very exciting team for the future.
The Canucks will ruin him and do no deserve the young man in the draft. The Blackhawks had there dynasty and Arizona is a team no star player want to be.

  9. NJ and Vancouver emerging as trade partners is definitely not a coincidence. Fitz wants Quinn in NJ, and Quinn is almost backhandedly asking for a trade at this point. And if Quinn tells Alvin that he wants to go to NJ, then that will give Fitz all the leverage to fleece Vancouver, just like how they fleeced San Jose. The dream of the Hughes trio being united is now officially a real possibility that could come true as soon as this summer.

  10. If van can ditch oel & myers, add 3 or 4 solid d, whos says they wouldn’t contend. They have the offense and goaltending.

  11. The canucks have a very good forward group and goalie. The defense is awful except Hughes. The new defenseman they got is exactly what they needed. They need 3 more good defensemen and should be a top team. They don't need a full rebuild. They still have their own 1st pick which should be a very high pick.

  12. I don't mind the Hronek deal. It was a conditional surplus first round pick that they gave up. They still have there own first round pick. And that's the price you pay for a high end top 4 pairing dman. I hear that some don't mind the trade, just the timing of it. Well, they made the deal when this guy became available. Guys like that are not always available. You can't always get guys when you wan't them. And super young like he is too at 25 years old. He is a major future peace.

  13. To be fair, it was a conditional 1st round pick. That one wouldn't have been able to get Bedard anyway.

  14. I don't honestly know what to think about this re-tool. But I do know I hope that Vancouver gets Bedard and he is the type of talent in the NHL that McDavid is. That is really something we haven't seen in BC since Pavel Bure. That type of player that brings excitement from even the pre game skate in anticipation of what could happen when the game starts. But I just don't think it will happen unless the Nucks are dead last in the standings.

  15. terrible take, He's saying a rebuild is not and ideal situation, not that he will leave or wants to leave if we went that direction. horrible video

  16. When both of your brothers are going to be perennial playoff stars he’s gona be in this rebuild bullshit and he’s not happy about it, can you blame him? He may demand a trade to NJ.

  17. if its true with jt miller that's the worse non trade in canuck's history!
we need to get the salary cap under control!

  18. Bedard is great at what he does in junior hockey. I don't believe he will do the same in the NHL. Even if he gets drafted by the Canucks, he will not be the saviour

  19. smh the Canucks need to blow it up and start over. They've obviously have demonstrated that they can't retool this and I would have gotten rid of the JT Miller contract so quickly. The guy is a mess and just brings the team down.. I feel for Canuck fans…

  20. Next year they are already at the cap, so you clearly have players who need to step up and live up to their contract

  21. Ohhhhhhhhh mannn, if Quinn strongarms the Canucks into a trade to the Devils… The Devils don't need him, they could end up with a bargain!

  22. Dude, none of our good players want a “rebuild”, it’s just respectful to Peety and Hughs. If it doesn’t work, we’ll have a few good pieces to use to acquire picks. You can’t rebuild with an aging core, everything must go, so I’m willing to take the chance…

  23. He's not going to retire a Canuck. After four years he's bolting to the Devils. The management will have been so niave if they don't manage him accordingly. It might be different if the team wasn't such a clown show but what are the odds of that?

  24. i love him and pettersson as our young A's and would be so happy to continue seeing their duo as canucks – that said, can't even blame him. of course he wouldn't want to waste his prime on a rebuilding team 🙁

  25. We have a few star players. But we got ZERO depth and ZERO prospect. As soon as our stars scores 1 goal, the next line next shift gives up a goal or two.

We have wait 10+ years. There is a reason why we call for a rebuild. You can only retool if you are already good and just need minor adjustments. We aren't already good.

All that about "players doesn't want a rebuild" is not relevant. Because all teams, even the worst ones, will still have some star players. So what then, never rebuild never have draft picks, just because you will always have star players every year, even when you got ZERO depth and ZERO prospects? What kind of logic is this?

  26. Every pro player wants to win and Hughes is no different. Statistics prove that where those pick selections were slotted that the Canucks traded, very rarely amount to a regular NHL player. Let alone an upper caliber one. Hronek is a top four RHD that can play in any situation. Yzerman took a huge gamble and traded not only a RHD, but a damn good one as he was currently their best. Hronek's game is going to flourish as a Canuck and people will soon forget about those picks. Picks are prospects with zero guarantee that they'll ever set foot on an NHL ice surface. I believe that they made the correct decision as they have the entire off season to get rid of Myers and Pearsons ridiculous contracts and possibly Boeser's and or Miller's as well. The Canucks need to keep losing close games from here on out now so they can increase their odds of selecting hometown boy Bedard. 🙏

  27. It honestly feels like Vancouver is looking at the league and saying “yeah, we could make it in this pacific division, the west sucks this year!” Which granted, the west isn’t great but the Canucks will absolutely get shellacked by either the Avs or the Knights.

  28. Yep don’t want to be here for a rebuild! Rather be here for more dumpster fire retooling! How’s it working so far this year genius!

  29. Peterson is an untouchable forsure but Hughes idk I think kuzmenko or maybe even Joshua
But I think 1 thing we can all agree on is TYLER MYERS NEEDS TO GO HE SUCKS

  30. Rebuilding a team that’s got one key issue the blue line no logic in that this retool has been a different approach many to stubborn to see that it’s not benning it’s a management group with a winning track record to many casuals wanting a rebuild watch Arizona then if you want one or the sabers a 11 year one
