  1. Great trade, you have more cap space after this. Nice to see you held on to your prospects, they are plentiful and talented

  2. Awesome trade. You got some skilled and recent champs/players without giving away too much. Can’t wait to have them a part of the team and culture

  3. Boston born hockey player from 60's, I was 10 when Orr scored the cup winner, if I wasn't on the ice I was playing street hockey, "car", Bruins were big back then, patriots Shafer stadium was mostly empty then. Funny how times change, thanks Tom. Great job Sweens

  4. All these bs fans have been shitting on Sweeney for years. In my opinion he has never been the problem as to why the bs haven't been able to get more cups. He has not been perfect with his signings, picks or trades, but he has been able to put together a lineup that has the abilities and experience and skills of their players to be a cup contender year in and year out since 2010. But they never got over the hump and fell short or didn't have quite enough depth to get the cups that the team could have gotten. He has been a good gm for the bs but the fans have been shitting on him for years and they assumed the problem was his signings or trades or picks weren't good enough. I have been saying this whole time that it's not him that is the problem every year I get in debates with fellow fans who blame him and the players he has assembled. I've been saying for years it's not him it's the coach. The coach (Cassidy) has never been able to take the talent that the bs had (the players Sweeney assembled) weren't being used to get the best play out of his players. Cassidy assembled a great top line and d core but a top heavy team is easy to defend. U focus on that one line and pick apart the rest. So far this year Jim has taken the same team as last season and reorganized the lines. Spreading the talent up and down the roster. Making 2 elite lines and a 3rd line that is highly skilled and even a 4th line that you have to worry about. But yet it's basically the same roster as last year that was slightly better than avg. The bs have 3 lines that any team could use for their top lines. Let's see if Jim can do what Cassidy couldn't and get the same effort as he did in the regular season

  5. I support this trade financially for the B’s, now we have more cap space to give to Pasta, but like just why are we trading away a first round pick in an amazing draft for this. Don’t get me wrong, Orlov and Hathaway are great players, but with a bunch of veteran talents like Bergy, Marchy, and Krejci all nearing retirement, we are going to need a rebuild soon and we need some backup to our young guns, such as good draft picks. This draft pick was one we definitely should’ve held on to.

  6. Don't mess with the chemistry. The lineup after the recent trade should be good enough for a Cup.

  7. Another masterclass from Don in how to say nothing with a ton of words. That being said, really happy about this trade.
