The Boston Bruins pulled off a block buster! Shortly after Don Sweeney traded for Mike Reilly of the Ottawa Senators he traded Anders Bjork and a 2nd round pick for super star Taylor Hall and depth forward Curtis Lazar from the Buffalo Sabres. Taylor Hall was the biggest name on the market and the Bruins stole him. In this video I talk about the careers of Hall and Lazar and my thoughts on the trade.

This was a great trade for the bruins. A top 6 LW and they need that. Curtis Lazar is very solid on the PK and you got them for bjork and a 2nd!

If Hall has anything left in the tank he will be a decent pick up especially for what we gave up. He's a very good passer, but we need a scorer. My guess is that he will be given No.10 jersey. Hope it works out. I also like Lazar.

I like Lazar and have always been a fan of players like him. Hall has so much talent I think if he can get in the right frame of mind he can light it up. He comes to the Bruins as just another player with leadership that I don't think he's ever had before. Let's face it here he isn't going to be the number 1 winger on the team. He will have pressure but not the pressure he has had on other teams. Bjork never really impressed me much. I mean he's got talent but I never see him more than a third liner. And to have traded him and 2nd for Hall and Lazar! This could be the best trade this year of all the trades. Time will tell but I am hoping it is.

Love this deal for the Bruins, Hall I think shows he is still a top talent now that he is with a much better team and don't underestimate the sneaky good addition of Lazar. I do think the B's can still make deals, they could put Moore on LTIR if need be for cap space and they could make a hockey deal or two as well.
I personally would love to see a Hall-Krejci-Pasta line.
The first line is doing phenomenal with Craig Smith, and I don't wanna see it broken up.. hopefully Hall can help kickstart Pasta.
If you think about it, hall has 19 points which is a major down year for him. That said, 19 points is still really decent compared to other bruins players. Getting someone who has a high ceiling for nothing is a massive steal in my eyes.

Spoken like someone who never saw Bobby Orr play! Fortunately, Hall will wear number 71 in Boston. I have seen Bobby Orr play and he is the best defenseman to play the game and I would argue the best player to play the game because he was a complete player. I do like the trade, I suspect Hall will play better with the Bruins.
