He apparently wants around 10m. I like Nylander, but I don’t want to give 10m to a player like him.

100% yes. His extension better not start with a number higher than a 9 but we should strongly consider it.

I like Nylander more than Cat and would be willing to overpay him a bit more than Cat, the problem being that I sincerely doubt they trade with us for anything that doesn’t include Seider+ things or Raymond + more things than Seider. They aren’t going to be interested in only our prospects and firsts imo

Nylander for 7x10M or even 8x10M would be a nice add. He immediately walks through the door as our best or 2nd best forward and 10M is what a player that scores 95 points is gonna get from any team. That contract might even look good in a couple years if we get the expected cap spike in 2025.

Absolutely. He is worth the 10 by the way. Insanely consistent player. High effort. Proven playoff performer. Checks every box you want. The alleged knock on him is defense but he is amazing on keeping possession and the forecheck. Bad things don’t happen when your team has the puck.
