  1. Soooo. They could've kept Acciari, rather than sign Reaves, and all it would've cost them was an extra $650,000 in cap space on the same three year term (and Acciari is 31 compared to Reaves' 36). And Acciari can actually play hockey (penalty kill, energy line, checking line, score some goals, etc). Uh huh. Very very smart. (When Treiliving said: "we like our guys, but the prices are high"— he thought 2 million per season for Acciari was high??). Wow.

  2. I can’t believe we couldn’t have matched that and it would have been deserved. This is a frustrating FA… Reeves is fine but smacks of Treliving signing old players to multi year contracts…. Really hope we get Betuzzi

  3. The Acciari signing was a no brainer, so I don't get that. Shenn got paid, so good for him. I'm a bit disgusted with the Leafs right now!

  4. Blows my mind how they don't keep Acciari or Schenn but we get some unknown 8th pair D man and an old meathead ? I hate this team…

  5. Pens fan here. Not crazy about Jarry getting 5 x $5.375. He had that all-star season, but hasn't been back at that level since. So I'm just crossing my fingers that with a (hopefully) better team in front of him, and (hopefully) better luck with injuries, that deal will look better than it does as I type this. But the weak free agent crop didn't give Dubas many legitimate options. I'd rather have Jarry at $5.375 than what Korpisalo got in Ottawa (5 x $4 million), though.

Otherwise, I like what Dubas did. Graves is a suitable replacement for Dumoulin. Nieto's a versatile, cheap bottom six guy. Eller is a fine 4th line C. And I like the Acciari deal the more I look into it. Not that I ever thought signing Acciari was bad. But I've shifted from "Meh, whatever" to "This is really going to help."

  6. Shanahan Needs to go , Toronto lost Dubas so he can keep his job , Bet he’s terrible at it lol Go leafs Minimum Wage is too much for Shanny

  7. Dubas is such a better GM than Treliving idk why so many Toronto fans wanted him out so bad, all these Treliving decisions have been pretty bad so far why would he sign Kampf to that contract over Accari lol

  8. I liked Acciari. I liked ROR, I liked Scheen. Getting Klingberg doesnt compensate for losing everyone else. Why do that Leafs Front Office need a new GM to lose everyone? I didnt see this coming like it has unfolded today

  9. This one stings the most. 2mill per over 3 years is totally reasonable, and he is a solid bottom six player. I mean, maybe Acciari just wanted to leave, but I am wondering why he wasn't resigned. Treliving might be a donkey.

  10. SDPN really missed out on not having a live stream for this. Hearing Steve's primals screams as all the potential fits for the Leafs signed elsewhere would have been pure entertainment

  11. How can you not give your analysis as to why the Leafs lost the deal and what this means? The last while it really seems like you guys are holding back some opinions especially steve.. frustrating as we are used to steve saying what the fans are thinking but what most in media are scared to say
