Washington won this trade. If they don’t make the playoffs they will flip him for a better draft pick. But we needed the roster spot.

Habs didn't need Edmunson anymore since Ghule stepped up last year as a great shutdown defenseman.

i don't see how Arber Xhekaj will get playing time next year unless mike matheson is traded. Xhekaj was not good last year and realistically wasn't good enough for a nhl spot. it was only because of the habs weak defense and injury that he played. unless HUGE improvements are made to his game i think they should check on his value to other teams. the habs don't need a guy like Arber Xhekaj taking minutes from someone with more upside and skill. he doesn't block shots and spends too much time in the box.
Xhekaj can never sit if he's healthy and he can not be traded. People underestimate how valuable this guy is.
Logan was supposed to have spoken to Bettman after the end of the Cup Final. Why no word from that meeting still? This news probably means it went well. Maybe they are just keeping it on the down low with little press.
