  1. Well explained Lego! I didn't understand this at all until you broke it down. Smart move by the Avs they could be scary good if this works out for them.

  2. I can only assume that there's a clause somewhere, that says, "A team cannot simply GIVE AWAY an asset for NOTHING." And so, SOMETHING has to be added going the other way, no matter how pointless that might be. But honestly, this is getting to be an embarrassing JOKE for The NHL. where teams are needing to GIVE AWAY players, or even worse, give away players WHILE STILL RETAINING THAT PLAYER'S SALARY!!!, or EVEN WORSE, moving a player AT THE COST OF sending a DRAFT PICK WITH THEM!!! Is ANYONE going to suggest (ADMIT), MAYBE the system is BROKEN?!?!?
