The style of play had a lot to do with Florida's wins playoffs should be called the same as regular season games. Florida is getting beaten up the same way they beat up the Leafs and the Hurricanes. As many penalties that were called in that game they easily could have called twice that many. Skilled players have shorter lives because of this stuff.

Florida used up all their puck luck to get to the SCF's they are toast.
Too good to be a movie. Cassidy is fired from the Bruins for being "toxic." Montgomery and the B's set a new NHL record, hinting that the B's always were capable of greatness if not for that darned Bruce Cassidy. Within the next 2 weeks, it's incredibly likely that Cassidy will be holding the Stanley Cup.

Really wasn't a great idea for Florida to sweep the Canes. There isn't really much anyone can do about it, but it would appear you really want to keep momentum. Florida has been thoroughly outplayed though and their Goalie seems to have lost his mojo. They seem to be falling further behind as time goes on, so maybe less rest wouldn't have helped

The florida fans must feel a bit of shame, right? I mean, I'd be stoked if inwas a florida fan but id be torn as well. My team is in the finals, but the only way they've made it that far is by playing dirty and being rulebreakers.

I honestly dont like betting, im not a gambler but gambling may just help straighten out the playoff situation. With betting sites paying a boat ton to advertise, if enough people complain about games being lost due to officiating or missed calls, maybe they change how they operate so as not to lose the major revenue stream l. After all the only waybl things get changed at a corporate level is through money.

Riley Smith and Jonathan Massashault (however you spell his last name) would look great on Florida right now…. it has to be said Vegas winning and doing so well since coming into the league makes alot of teams look very miss managed.
Most of the misconduct calls were because the refs were tired of telling them to chill out. After every single stoppage. They kept being instigators. Refs were fed up and dished out punishments.
Tell you right now, if you looked at the whole Eastern Conference run of the Panthers and the only thing you can see is them just getting lucky and being goons got you this far: you clearly haven't been watching their games fully.
Same people prasing Vegas for not giving in, for giving shots back, for being tough, and then praising how they are taking advantage of non calls and power play chances: you might as well say you're prasing the Panthers as well. Because what Vegas is doing is the same damn thing. Taking advantage of everything that is going their way, and getting away with all they can. This is not to hate either. They kicked our ass. Im not afraid of saying that. Im not crying over that. I dont care if we get swept. We are in the Finals. All of you didn't have us in any round. You already had us out against Boston. You think telling us "o yeah panthers suck, o they got lucky, blah blah". Like it bothers us.
It's two games. Vegas outplayed and got a lot their way. We'll see what happens in 3-4. But people need to stop with that narrative that we got lucky all playoff long.
If that's the case, you're just making Boston, Toronto, and Carolina look like even BIGGER losers for losing, to a terrible team like us. Seems those teams need a lot more work.

As a Panthers fan, the Cats should be embarrassed about last night. They got their asses kick in everyway possible. I'm not one to complain about the refs or anything like that either. We got wooped…that's all. Coming back to Florida now and lets see what happens. Not giving up on them but they need to do a 180. We are playing Vegas's game, not the Panthers. No dump in's and forechecking dominance. Hope they figure it out as next game is now a must win. Time to hunt!

Going into the playoffs, I actually respected what the Panthers had achieved to squeak in. However, while I’m a full supporter of “old time hockey” with the solid hits and tight D, the over-the-top dirty play of the Panthers has turned me into a huge Vegas fan. I wasn’t at all unhappy to see Gouda’s get a taste of his own medicine – except the hit on him was cleaner than most of the hits he has thrown in the playoffs.

Florida has been playing over their head and getting the breaks but reality has caught up. And the referees have had enough with the krap they pull after the whistle. Vegas is the superior team and will take the Cup.
