  1. Honestly I don't even feel bad for Detroit, I'm pretty happy that lafreniere is going to a competitive team

  2. Just thought I should throw this out there, this doesn't mean that the Rangers get Lafreniere if the Canes win the lottery. Carolina does owe the Rangers a draft pick, but it is the worse pick between Toronto and Carolina's picks. If both teams lose in the play-in round, the Canes can draft anywhere from 1, and 14-15, and Toronto can draft anywhere from 1, and 12-15. Those numbers can be predetermined if you look through every possible outcome from the play-in round. Since Toronto's pick is top 10 protected, and only one pick can possibly make the top 10, the best pick the Rangers can receive from Carolina is the 12th overall pick (via Toronto).

  3. The draft lottery has been a mess for a while now, but this one really is rubbing salt in the wound. I'm not nearly as disgusted by where Detroit, Ottawa, and LA ended up as I am by the fact that a team that's in the 24-team playoffs is getting a #1 pick. Isn't it bad enough that the salary cap plus the extended Restricted Free Agency rules make it nearly impossible for a team to not cycle through contention/rebuild (i.e.: "tanking") but they then add this kind of mockery to the teams that their rules structure forced to endure losing seasons? What an insult.

  4. If Montreal wins the lottery, I might have heart attack, the excitement would be WAY too much!!! Go Pens Go!!! Lol

  5. I am not even a Detroit’s fan but I feel bad for them. They needed that 1st pick as it feels like the dark ages there.

  6. I know this is sorta bandwagon but I’m gonna become an la fan. Not my favourite but I don’t dislike them. I love byfield turcotte and kalyiev

  7. As a Sens fan, I'm kind of upset, but I mean 3rd and 5th will be good. I feel bad for Red Wings fans though.

  8. For Detroit fans since this draft in crazy deep you still will get a fantastic player. Going off of the TSN rinal rankings the Red Wings could have a chance of drafting Marco Rossi or Lucas Raymond. Marco Rossi had 2.14 points per game in the OHL this season (and 120 points in the OHL, he played on a great team however he was 30 points ahead of the second highest scorer on his team), Rossi's points per game was 0.01 points per game behind Alexsis Lafreniere. Lucas Raymond had playing agaisn't men 10 points in 33 games playing in the Swedish Hockey League. Marco Rossi could become a Niklas Backstrom and Lucas Raymond could become a Mitch Marner. So Red Wings fans instead of focusing on who you didn't get focus on who you could get.

  9. NYR getting lafrenier and putting a huge exclamation point on the end of their rebuild. The pick from carolina is conditional with the worst of the Toronto /Carolina pick going to NYR

  10. My rangers could still win the cup AND draft Laffy in the same year like your video said, how salty the rest of the league would be 😅👌

  11. Just let Lafreniere go to the West. The metropolitan division has had at least 1 top 3 pick in each of the last 4 years, and has picked 1 and 2 twice so I don't want them getting Lafreniere. The Wings aren't getting him and the Atlantic Division already has enough top 5 picks for us to contend with.

  12. Edmonton is going to beat Chicago and Pens will be Montreal, so don't worry, and the Leafs, well, they'd get 3 years at 900k, that would suck, and we know they will lose, so ya… Those are the 3 teams I don't want to win it, Pens, Oilers and Leafs.

  13. Pettersson, Horvat, Lafreniere… Now thats a solid center core 😉

  14. Every sport always gave the top pick to one of the worse teams for a reason, to make the bad teams a little better….but not this year in the NHL….

  15. Irony is , they do a lottery to supposedly stop tanking. So, now the worst team making the "playoffs" this year now knows they get the no. 1 pick by throwing a series. Why not, they know they dont have much of a chance anyway, so get the pick. This whole set up was absolutely asinine.

  16. Tbh coming from a Sabres fan I know the wings are in rebuild mode so I’d deff give them our 2020 8th overall pick along with cozens and okoposo in exchange for larkin. Detroit would get 3 nhl ready elite prospect right out of this trade along with a veteran. Sabres need to win now before they lose all the talent on that damn team. We could use Larkin for that final piece.

  17. For the people saying “ we feel so bad.” Stfu your happy asf because your team has a chance to win 1st round pick. Lol

  18. The Play-In round isn't the playoffs. Its still a NON playoff team that will get him. The first overall pick situation sucks for us Sens fans, but it's not what most people are making it out to be.

  19. I love it. Another great talent isn't going waste their career playing for a shit franchise like Detroit and Ottawa. Sabres are destroying Eichels career.

  20. Legorocks99- Great content with tons of possibilities and controversies. NHL loves to stir things up to get more notoriety and in the process to sell its product to a large audience. Remember now Seattle will be in the fold next year or two so this draft order selection really taken the sports to the spotlight during COVID Pandemic. I have a bone to pick with NHL if I were Detroit, however as for Sens I don't really feel bad because you have # 5 and # 3 foundational players as long as its scouting department don't whiffed on those picks.

  21. Detroit and Ottawa, so sorry. People won’t make a big deal about it because they’ll still get good players BUT they’re no surefire franchise player like you get in Lafreniere. And it was the SJ pick that ended up 3rd. So if Ottawa didn’t have that they would been left picking 5 instead of 1 or 2 like they deserved.

Consolation prizes for everyone. Except the play in loser who laughs all the way to the bank at the top of the mountain. Oh man. Disastrous.

  22. NYR wouldn’t be able to get 1st overall if they eliminate CAR, the trade where the Rangers got the 1st round pick, there was a condition on the CAR pick. Which ever is worse, TOR or CAR since CAR owns both so it’s not possible to get 1st overall for that pick. The only way NYR could get 1st overall is if they lose to Carolina.

  23. As a red wings fan, I don't want Lafrenniere to go to Oilers, Hawks, Leafs, or Pens but if I had to pick one I'd pick the Leafs or Oilers. Hell no for the Hawks, and definitely hell no for the Pens

  24. NHL lotto draft is a joke. It’s the worse in all of sports including kids’ gym class. This system doesn’t discourage tanking, it encourages it, harder and longer.

  25. If you're butthurt about the lottery (yes its not perfect) maybe you should worry why your team is always at the bottom league year after year, even if then they get good and then suck again. (Detroit really got fkd though)

  26. So that's what you look like. Montreal needs the number one. A French born in Quebec would be a perfect fit.

  27. I hope Lafreniere goes to Nashville, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, or Florida. Definitely to a US team and grow the game.
