With the Montreal Canadiens losing their eighth game in a row for the second time this season, many Habs fans are talking about the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, to be held in Montreal later this year. Since the Canadiens aren’t fully in the lottery talk yet but still have some odds, let’s talk about the top two projected picks, Alexis Lafrenière of the Rimouski Océanic in the QMJHL and Quinton Byfield of the Sudbury Wolves in the OHL, and how either of these players could help the Habs.

The owner of the Canadiens knows nothing about hockey … he is just a billionaire with no hockey knowledge…….The Habs must hire a new President .. He would report to Mr Molson and Bergevain would report to the new president…. Also get a VP reporting to the president… I do not trust Bergevain and his scouting staff… the Habs should have the best president … best VP …… best coaches ….. best scouts …. more scouts …….. French speaking should not be a prerequisite. … They will never win anything if French is the number one prerequisite …. The only way to get Lafreniere is for him to demand to play with the Habs….. Eric Lindros did not accept to play for the team that drafted him …. If Lafreniere had steel balls he should do the same.

I'd be genuinely curious to see what Marc or whoever is GM at the time will do in order to move up in the draft for Lafreniere… even moving from 3rd to 1st is going to cost a lot in future picks I think.. but I think it would be worth it for a place of either one of these two in calibre. Montreal has been toooooooo long without a star like these guys.
at this rate, the habs will finish close to last or highly likely in the top 3 last. i guess drafting Lafrenière in mtl was Bergevin's plan all along

good video. only thing i disagree very much on is byfields ceiling vs KKs. Jespari may be having a slow season this year but injuries have played a roll along with all 2nd years struggle. that said he still is only the 4th youngest in the league due to his late birthday. thats what makes what he did last yr so special making the team just as a 17 yr old turning 18. he is a baby and his ceiling is very high. he will rocket upwards over the next 3 yrs wait and see

Canadien of Mtl deserves Lafreniere, we got no game changer for like 25 years and the only one who has the posibility was Koivu but got injured to soon and got cancer. Our record of points since then for one player was Kovalev for 82 pts…
