Johnston needs to upgrade his mic or mess with some settings
watched the whole episode but man this has the same problem Agent Provocateur does. one good mic for the host and one borderline unlistenable mic for the person who headlines the show. 49:13 to 50:14 is atrocious, his mic peaks and sounds so bitcrushed the whole time. surely even a pair of KZ ZSN Pros or KBEAR KS1s would be a gigantic upgrade over what we have now without compromising his "i only want to wear earbuds" vibe. pls sdpn i'm begging you, i want to listen but it sounds so bad 😭😭😭

Dubas was great at almost everything besides signing big long-term deals. And Leafs hired Treliving who seems to be even worse with signing big long-term deals.
If anyone thinks that Dubas didn’t have that Pitt deal in his pocket , before he got “fired” , they are being very gullible,,, the reason he went to Pitt it’s a no lose situation, he gives the penguins another cup run , or at least look like he’s trying and then re-build ,,, in TO he has to put up now ,,,he’s a good hockey guy but , most people give him way too much credit
No offence Julian but firing keefe being an easy decision for you is not reasonable. The team has had 115pts (record) and 111 points in the previous 2 seasons. Obviously he knows how to coach. Players just need to gel together and find the right recipe for success and the heart has to be in it from game 1-82 and beyond. Simple.
If they run it back again, Shanahan will be gone, because 3/4 core players have been together for 7 seasons and haven't been able to produce, post season.
There is no way Teliving is satisfied with this current group, and without a trade in the core, they will have no cap space to build what they need. They get paid $40 million combined.

As a fan? I think I'm scared to death of Dubas gutting key upper management from the Leaf's organization. Scouts and Assistance and the like, bringing us back to the JFJ or Burke era. Chris, time to buy a better set up!
The most Leafs thing would be for Dubas and the Pens to find success faster than the Leafs and whoever is calling the shots now.

I really think Patty Roy for head coach would be absolutely amazing shot in the arm for this team espically to strike some accountability and a bit of fear for the core 4 something they need even just the battle stories/experiences from the avs vs wings battles and all the playoff runs he has had
Dubas said that if HE decided not to come back he would not pop up somewhere else. He was fired, it was not his choice.
It's almost like Chris doesn't want to put forth any effort to make this show enjoyable to listen to.
I'm sorry to Julian, but I can't handle the constant peaking that could be fixed with Chris investing a whopping $40.

I agree it might not have been a grand plan to overlap those pressers, if anyone had cause to do so, it's the Pens to keep the Toronto press in Toronto while they unveiled their new PoHO. Minimizes the drama and non-Pens focused dialog in their presser.
If Matthews stays it will speak volumes that he believes this team can win a cup. And the idea that he could be a leader that ends the 56 year drought will play on his decision. Cheers guys.

Take a look at the two Stanley Cup finalists this year. Both teams hired a new coach after not getting to where they wanted to be last year. 1 team missing the playoffs entirely, the other was a presidents trophy winning team and made it to the 2nd rd. But still they both chose to fire their coaches and bring in a new guy and now they are in the final. Leafs should be considering this as well.
