Today we’re going to be talking about Kent Johnson, the top dangler in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, and a player whose profile has been compared to the likes of Elias Pettersson—who happens to be Johnson’s favourite player to watch.

Johnson suited up for the University of Michigan Wolverines program in the NCAA where he was a point-per-game freshman, making his presence known through his incredible creative puckhandling ability, and his overall dangly nature.

  1. Such a creative player….would love if the Canucks could draft a highly skilled local kid!

  2. Johnson best hands, SIllinger best shot, Power best defencemen, Gunether or Eklund best forward / all around player

  3. MYSTERIO. Also im not so sold on Johnson. I think we need better rounded players, less risk takers.

  4. Would love to see him on the nucks playing for his home town team and with his favourite player

  5. Im a kings fan and I have him in the 5-10 range. If Clarke or Wallstedt isn't there at 8 i want us to draft Johnson and move him to wing. Yes we have a plethora of forwards but I would rather us draft another forward that reach on a defenseman at 8 if the top 4 are gone. We don't have a player like Johnson and he could be perfect playing next to Turcotte or Byfield

  6. I think this is the guy I want the canucks to take. Sounds like the sky is the limit for his ceiling.

  7. Definitely within Canucks range and a lot of mock drafts have us picking him at 9th. He makes me nervous though, especially when there's a chance less risky players could be on the board.

  8. so… with wallstedt apparently jumping into the top 10, someone like johnson, lucius, lysell, sillinger, raty, and mctavish is going to drop to #11. that's not a bad consolation prize for the hawks..

  9. John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
