Farewell Jesse Puljujarvi | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Feb 28

The news we had all been anticipating finally happened this morning. The Edmonton Oilers have traded Jesse Puljujarvi to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Patrik Puistola, a prospect out of Finland. This now gives the Oilers some breathing room on the cap and the potential to make a big splash before the deadline.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will give their reaction to the Puljujarvi trade and what the options are now for Ken Holland. Join the guys at noon live on The Nation Network YouTube Channel and give them your thoughts on the latest Oilers trade and rumours.

Also on today’s show, Robin Brownlee will join Tyler. He will give his thoughts on the Oilers recent run of games along with what they could do before the deadline. And of course, they will touch on what went down at Rogers Place last night as the Oilers fall 3-2 to the Boston Bruins in regulation.

Viewers can catch Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin on Oilersnation Everyday at noon mountain on The Nation Network YouTube page. You can also view the show on Twitter and Facebook. After the show has streamed live, you can find it on all your podcast provide.

  1. Hard to make big moves when a playoff spot isn't guaranteed.
At least their in the west so they at least have a chance

  2. One thing that can't be denied… Oilers gave Jesse EVERY opportunity to succeed… he just couldn't.

  3. So idk if this would even be allowed by NHL/NHLPA.

Hypothetically if push came to shove and no one was giving us anything to off load the cap, could the oilers trade PoolParty for future considerations?

  4. I'd rather would have seen Yamamoto traded first before Jesse…..Now we go look for "2" 3rd / 4th liner (which we needed before this trade ) who are around 6-3 220 lbs….This doesnt make sense! We got smaller and weaker imo!

  5. great guy. I hope the best and he will raise and become much better in his new team. Funny guy with some good hands and size

  6. Good by Jessie , My opinion is he was fun to watch but play's with little hockey sense. He quit the Oilers first time because it was to hard, and he never shone like the star he thought he was. He could not put up points consistently even playing with Connor! Rank's right up there second to the Nail Yakapov 1st over all disaster.
Maybe his own assessment last year is right!
