The news we had all been anticipating finally happened this morning. The Edmonton Oilers have traded Jesse Puljujarvi to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Patrik Puistola, a prospect out of Finland. This now gives the Oilers some breathing room on the cap and the potential to make a big splash before the deadline.

It'll free up some ice time for Holloway when he can come back.

I'd rather would have seen Yamamoto traded first before Jesse…..Now we go look for "2" 3rd / 4th liner (which we needed before this trade ) who are around 6-3 220 lbs….This doesnt make sense! We got smaller and weaker imo!

Good by Jessie , My opinion is he was fun to watch but play's with little hockey sense. He quit the Oilers first time because it was to hard, and he never shone like the star he thought he was. He could not put up points consistently even playing with Connor! Rank's right up there second to the Nail Yakapov 1st over all disaster.
Maybe his own assessment last year is right!
